Wendy I feel for you. I am so glad you have two healthy children, I have two healthy boys as well, but my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. It was a very depressing time, you are all geared up to have a baby and start thinking about names etc and then your hopes are dashed. Your acute grief will pass, but you will always remember what might have been. I was very upset after my miscarriage and thought nothing would ever work out again, but if I had had that first baby I wouldn't have had my lovely son William. My mother-in-law's first baby died at 2 minutes' old and she had to wait 5 years before she gave birth to my husband. Then she had to wait another 5 before his brother. She wanted more children but had to have a hysterectomy. She always wanted a daughter and when I started going out with her son she told me I was the daughter she would have chosen! So enjoy your children and the other children that have been, are in or will be in your life. Take care. nell |

Hi Wendy,My heart goes out to you right now,I was 6 months pregnant and it was valentines day when I found out my baby was dead,I delivered her the next day,but before her I had 3 boys last one born with strep b and has had lots of health problems,my little girl just wasn't meant to be.My thoughts are with you,and also your partner people don't always think of the man but my husband has never got over it either, and my children talk of her as their sister,I know its hard but talk to people I didn't and ended up having a breakdown, its good to talk if you want to talk I'll be here to listen.Best Wishes Denise. |
