Sorry to butt in here. I thought 'Grampa's Concrete Tower' was really nice, saw it for the first time 3 weeks ago when visiting a rellie from this site for the first time. We sat opposite it, in Gosport watching the ships come in and eating chicken & chips. |

From the Stick we will (eventually) be able to get a great view of two blocks of Flats I helped build in the 1960s at Gosport Ferry. I can also see it from my Kitchen window if I stick my head out and look due West. And, when it eventually falls over, we will have the footbridge from Gosport to Portsea which we should have had if the Builders had the Plans the right way round. Lol |

Don't stick your head out to far Grampa otherwise you might fall, never mind the flats. Hold on a moment I think you meant the stick. |

Jen - this may surprise people, but I am VERY shy when I meet people for the first time! So - Jim said (please excuse the copying and pasting): ''1.00pm. Gunwharf centre. At Portsmouth Harbour at the foot of that new concrete stick. It's beside Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station, the Bus Terminus, The Isle of Wight Catamaran and the Gosport Ferry.'. Is parking very close, please? I've been to see the ships nearby, but can't remember what parking is like. Thanks. :-) Joy |

There is a car park actually at the Gunwharf, and several nearby. |
