I would have been Anna (carry the banner, as my late dad used to say!) Wouldn't have minded that. Apparently when I was born it was a choice between Susan or Elizabeth. Glad it wasn't Susan (sorry all Sues out there) - the pig mum and dad had when they first married (no it wasn't their firstborn) had also been called Susan!!!!

I would be Christina, which IS my second name, named after Mum's mother, whom I never met, as she died when my mother was a child. Mum's younger sister was also called Christina, I always called her 'Auntie Chris.'

I was named after Dad's mum anyway. My 1st daughter was named after my nan's mum. Both daughters have their grandmothers names as middle names (confusing). If we had stuck with female line I would be Constance. But having such a lot of female cousins, we'd all be called the same.

Georgette

Georgette Report 17 Aug 2005 08:16

I would be Margaret Mary, but I'm Helen Frances. Frances was a very diplomatic choice because it covered my great aunt, my godmother and my grandfather Francis! Helenxx
