'You'll never walk alone' - do you know who weird it is to be stuck in an enclosed space with 50,000 celtic supporters singing that? Gets me all shivery 'Flower of Scotland' - think it awakens the Scottishness in me, especailly before, during and after a scotland match (and if we win its oh so much better) 'Evening Hymm' - My mum really doesnt like this song, you can actually see her shudder when they play it. although not particularly interested in football, it's the best singalong footy anthem. It was amusing when it trounced the FA's official anthem for the 98 World Cup - a bizarre and completely forgettable collaboration between the Spice Girls and umm, Ocean Colour Scene. :-S |

Bec When I was in labour with my son (June 1996) every time I had a contraction all I kept doing was singing the chorus of Three Lions. Also have a signed copy of it which somehow cannot part with has too many memories |

From start to finish, I'd go with the whole of the Grace album by Jeff Buckley, and in particular 'Hallelujah'. Yes, it's a cover and in fact has been covered many times (Rufus Wainwright & kd lang spring to mind) but to me, this feels the most impressive version. The spare instrumentation and Buckley almost sounding as if he's whispering into the microphone make it a spinetingling listen. |

actually wasn't being as flippant as my comment may have sounded, knew goosebumps were supposed to be shivery but wasn't sure whether it generally was seen as being a good thing or a bad thing. Will have to have a think. :-) |
