Beaches................me and my best friend watched it together one night with a couple of bottles of wine, and lots of chocolate. By the end we where sat side by side on the sofa, holding hands and sobbing. Asking each other if we would do that for the other one. Laughing we both said NO! We know each others kids far too well lol. Didnt mean it of course we would

Re Sound of Music- It's that little crack in his voice as he gets near the end. It does it every time. - even when I went to see singalong soundamusic, which had me in tears of laughter I still broke at that bit. Gwynne

Gwynne, Not meaning to pass you bye. Sorry to say, The Sound of Music , though an excellent movie, never tweaked the tear ducts! It is my Mums favourite movie. There was something in the paper recently, picturing the Great? Grandchildren of the Von Trapps. I should have paid more attention to the article. Deb

Jean Durant

David, Tom Hanks, snap (except Philidelphia) Deb, Gone with the Wind The Champ (had to sit in the cinema for 10 minutes when it ended to recover) Any film where children cry in distress Jean x.

I clearly remember the first film that moved me to tears. I was only a ''ard' teenager and I watched Kramer V Kramer with my mum and the little boy was sooooo good. I cried when he asked his daddy if he would see him again. :o( Claire xx

Gwynne is quite right about S of M. Both the Edelweiss bits and both the Climb ev'ry Mountain bits make me cry but I didn't want to be the first to put it down.

Donna - I have spent many a night 'Sleepless in Seattle' ;) Buttercup - My best friend said she was sobbing during 'Million Dollar Baby'. I haven't seen the movie, so can't understand how boxing would make her cry. I'll have to rent it I guess and find out for myself. Thanks for the confirmation on Whistle Down the Wind. Deb

ButtercupFields Report 10 Oct 2005 07:30

Think that was Whistle down the Wind Deb, with Alan Bates? My recent break down and sob movie was Million Dollar Baby with Clint Eastwood. A beautiful film and a great cry! XX BC

Help me out here. As a child I watched a film that made me cry. An escaped convict was discovered in a barn by a young lad. The boy asked the con who he was, to which he replied 'Jesus Christ'. Was it Whistle down the wind'? Deb
