Hi June I often wonder if Dad wouldnt have had that bar of chocolate would mum have fancied him ha ha I asked mum once what attracted her to dad and she said he had a bar of chocolate ha ha. They are right pair together believe me, laugh a minute them 2. Regards Yvonne |

Hi June Love these sort of threads. Mum: Liverpool Dad: Stanley, Durham How they met - dad was based in the army in Woolton, Liverpool and his friend was going out with my mums friend and they wanted to make a foursome up, so it was a blind date. Mum said she couldnt resist dad cos he had a bar of chocolate. Then dad got sent to India for 4 and half years, when dad came home in December 1945 he was only home a week and they got married. mum was 21 and dad was 26, they celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary this year 60 years married, they still hold hands when they go out.
