Elaine, You have got your wires crossed slightly. The little girl snatched from her bath lives somewhere in the north, and I believe she is six years old. She was 'dumped' naked in a street not far from her home. This incident occurred before Monday of this week. Thank God she came to no harm (in the sense that she did not suffer the same [alleged] treatment by the abducter(s), as did this Welsh baby). Brian

No Fred, not extreme at all, quite mild compared to what I would like to do to them.

Just a point quote 'Police believe she was raped after being taken from her home between 1900 and 2300 GMT on Monday.' Thats FOUR hours. did the police have a definate time for the abduction or was the child unnatended for this amount of time...I thought the child was snatched from her bath ?? Elaine x

Police have been granted extra time to continue questioning three men in connection with the kidnap and rape of a toddler taken from her Cardiff home. A 26-year-old was arrested after his car crashed during a police chase in Wiltshire. Two others, aged 34 and 47, had already been arrested in Cardiff. Police said the three-year-old girl was abducted from her house in the Rumney area of the city on Monday night. She was flown to hospital but has since been allowed home. Her injuries were described as 'significant'. Police are searching a property in Newport as part of the inquiry Police believe she was raped after being taken from her home between 1900 and 2300 GMT on Monday. While three men were being questioned in Cardiff on Wednesday, South Wales Police have been granted an extra 36 hours to continue questioning two of them. A 34-year-old man was arrested first at 0023 on Tuesday. Police were then looking for a car when colleagues in Wiltshire spotted the L-registered grey Ford Escort going through a red traffic lights without headlights on near Marlborough. Forensic officers They pursued the car along the M4 for about four miles where it left at junction 15 before heading for 10 miles down the A4 towards Hungerford where it crashed. The driver of the car was arrested at the scene at 0340 GMT. By that stage a third man, aged 47, had already been arrested in Cardiff. The child was airlifted to hospital from the scene. Detectives have also confirmed that a property in Caerleon Road, Newport, forms part of this investigation and forensic officers are at the scene. Ten crime scene investigators are looking inside and outside the house, thought to be divided into flats, and are expected to remain there for the next few days. The allegations are horrendous and I would urge anyone who has further information to contact us Det Supt Paul Kemp Meanwhile in Cardiff, officers are carrying out house-to-house inquiries in Rumney and additional patrols are on the streets to reassure residents. Superintendent Josh Jones, Deputy Divisional Commander for Cardiff, said: 'This is an extremely rare event which makes it all the more shocking. 'Rumney is a close-knit community and we ask the residents to work closely with us in providing any information that they can. We will continue to provide a very visible police presence in the area.' Speaking outside Cardiff Central Police Station on Wednesday, Detective Superintendent Paul Kemp said: 'The allegations are horrendous and I would urge anyone who has further information to contact us.' The incident room can be reached on 02920 222111 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. This is from the BBC website

Brian I have mailed you....thank you for censoring that word. Id just like to add to those who may have found my request somewhat petty in asking for the offending word to be censored, that this is an open forum, and when used in the context that it was, the word was offensive. Elaine x

This is just beyond belief. News said they've arrested three men under suspicion of abduction and rape. one I think 26 one in his 30's one of 47!! Its despicable and disgusting what is the matter with these people. The car was stopped in Wiltshire after crashing when being chased for a short while by a police car. I think it said 1 of the men was arrested there and 2 in Wales. Not 100% on the figures as I heard the tail end.

Brian, my reply would be removed I think, so toning it down is: when this specimen of humanity is caught, let them be thrown to the lions - or in this case, other prisoners. And I mean it. x P.S. The only bit that I don't agree with you is the animal bit. x
