My feelings are that these people can never live in our society, we see it time and again, they go to prison and are surpose to be rehabilitated only to re offend, its about time the powers that be understood that we dont want them in our society, why should we inflict these perverts on our children. Find an island thats uninhabited and stick them on it, with heavy security!!

On an upbeat note: The little girl has been allowed home. Police probably felt it was the best thing to do - to be at home with her mummy and the rest of her family, and to be in familiar surroundings. She was reportedly not badly hurt when the car crashed, but has other 'significant injuries'. I would imagine the police are confident they have everyone in custody who needs to be locked up. And may have a 24-hour guard on her home. Thank God it wasn't more tragic. Brian

I have heard of some dispicable acts but this one beggars belief. My heart goes out to that little mite. What sort of deep-seated memories will be stored forever in her head and what effect will it have on her life............. a life incidentally which could have been lost had that car not been spotted with no lights by the Police and followed. Where would they have taken that baby and what would have happened to her ? It does not bear thinking about. I am not by nature a violent person but in circumstances like this I can fully understand when parents/families - rightly or wrongly -seek revenge

i didnt see this till now, i agree if this gets to court, they should suffer, but theyll get away lightly id love to get my hands on um before it reaches court, and now a house just up road from here is being investigated, linked to one of the kidnappers, i bet hes one of our flaming customers too my heart goes out to that little girl and her parents

if we got rid of porn that would really help,heavy fines etc[on porn,theres alot to be said for films like gone with the wind,it left alot to the imagination,xxxjoy

I have to say Bob, I have thought recently about its time for another flood. I dont want to sound a prude - cos Im not - but old Mary Whitehouse was ridiculed about her views and blow me, its all coming to fruition now isnt it. Yes, you cant help wondering about Revelations and the time of the end, with men acting like 'wild beasts' with no love for each other - Im not a fanatic but surely this world is becoming a real Soddom and Gommorah,(sp?) isnt it. I despair of the cruelty to animals, to children, to old people to everyone in general. I cannot understand how people can live with themselves when they have done something so absolutely evil.

I think some of the problem is down to insufficient deterrent these days. While discussing this event with friends, one of them mentioned that a man has just been released 32yrs after killing and dismembering his girlfriend's 3 young children. For crying, I think. He then left their poor body parts in her garden for her to find. Why oh why should he ever be freed? The worlds gone crazy with notions of 'rehab' for multiple killers of innocent babies and paedophiles who prey on the young and innocent. Lock these vile creatures up and never let them out.

Add me to that. They don't deserve to live!!!

Thanks for clearing that up, I thought they were talking about the bath incident. I diddnt realise another child had been taken. These people must have been watching these families for ages, how else would they know that a child lives there and know of the families actions in the house , well enough to attempt to enter and take the child knowing the child was alone in a room.. Police have just said that one of the men being questioned is known to Jasmines Mother but not related.. the house in Caerleon Road Newport is used by the Probation Service.. I live in Cardiff about 3 miles from where this little girl was abducted. Police have now said that they believe it could be a relationship between the Childs mother and one of the abductors.. we have just had this news flash on local tv station.

Yet another horrific crime against a defenceless child! Words fail me. The damage that must have been done to that poor child's body does not bear thinking about, let alone what it's done to her mind. She must have been literally terrified, as well as being horribly injured. I don't understand the way these men's minds work, but it's obvious that these things are planned in advance. All parents need to be very vigilant now - no matter where they live, as people like those men might strike anywhere. Sadly, this sort of thing is nothing new. A young schoolfriend of my son's was the subject of an attempted abduction in the road where we lived - and that 20 years ago.I'm disgusted to thing that society hasn't cleaned up its act very much since then! Thanks for clearing that up Brian. I thought another child had been taken from her bath when Elaine said that. Was thinking it had to be the same 'person' [a term I'm using very lightly]
