Then again...... You're never too old to learn but you can't teach an old dog new tricks The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese The e-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail C:\ is the root of all directories |

That's a different version to the one I know Roxanne. We always say:- A whistling woman and a crowing hen is neither use to god nor men |

An alternative to that one, Roxanne - A whistling woman and a cackling hen are neither use to beasts nor men. Another good one is - When poverty walks through the door, love flies out of the window and I thought it was He who laughs last .... hasn't got the joke! ;>))) CB >|< |

A peacock who sits on his tail is just another turkey. A bird in the hand is safer than one overhead. A tree never hits a car except in self defense There's no place like home(.)com |

Getting back to the Biblical theme - These are worth a read: 'Lamentations of Jeremiah' - Chapter 1, Verse 9 (Teth) and Chapter 2, Verse 10 (Yod). Proverbs - Chapter 6, Verse 12, and Verse 12 reads - These six things doth the Lord hate: Yea seven are an abomination to him: A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, And heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that he swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren. The rest of that Chapter makes interesting reading too. CB >|< |
