That's a different version to the one I know Roxanne. We always say:- A whistling woman and a crowing hen is neither use to god nor men

An alternative to that one, Roxanne - A whistling woman and a cackling hen are neither use to beasts nor men. Another good one is - When poverty walks through the door, love flies out of the window and I thought it was He who laughs last .... hasn't got the joke! ;>))) CB >|<

A peacock who sits on his tail is just another turkey. A bird in the hand is safer than one overhead. A tree never hits a car except in self defense There's no place like home(.)com

Getting back to the Biblical theme - These are worth a read: 'Lamentations of Jeremiah' - Chapter 1, Verse 9 (Teth) and Chapter 2, Verse 10 (Yod). Proverbs - Chapter 6, Verse 12, and Verse 12 reads - These six things doth the Lord hate: Yea seven are an abomination to him: A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, And heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that he swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren. The rest of that Chapter makes interesting reading too. CB >|<
