Well, it's 10 minutes before they start arriving and I'm ready. Lots of dips, cheeses, nuts, dried fruits, etc., etc., grog, sausages, steakes and rolls. I just seem to keep partying. Nothing wrong with the head at the moment, but I bet there will be tomorrow!, heeeeeee, heeeee. Might have to self-medicate. Jood, of course I keep all of my qualifications, ninny! Just 'cause I'm retired don't mean I lose all of that. I'll catch up later this arvo, it is if I can still type! Lew Lew xxx |

Thanks Jood - typical tho - work all week, get Saturday off and stupid machine goes wonky on me. Working all next week too which is why I need work shirts washed although could resort to white ones but daughter can't - grrrr One of life's pleasures that I do enjoy - washing - well who doesn't - you stick it in, turn it on and with a bit of luck it comes out all nice and clean - then just needs ironing - now that's a whole different ball game - lol |

Annoying tho just the same, when you plan your day and it doesnt go that way. .. *tongue in cheek* that's what I'm like when my computer goes on the blink, but now I have an old lappy and a new one, so I don't freak out quite so much! Jood |

just did one lot of cakes, had a test , they are fine, used lsa mix for 1/2 the almonds. oh says yum. thanx for the offer of the almonds suzy, but you could make them into something nutritous and yummy too. i quite like washing.even hanging it out. i don't iron much as my work clothes don't require it. oh does his and youngest male child's- they have all the shirts and pants. the other 2 can do it themselves. youngest male child is quite good at ironing too if he has to. there are some funny ones posting threads. is it because they have a different sense of humour on the other side of the world? love yvette |

Afternoon all Hope the luncheon goes well, Lew. Have a few more drinkies and that will cure any hangover from yesterday. Looks like everyone had a great time at your party. A few sore heads and worn out feet this morning. Vonny, beautiful day here on Bribie. Hope you have a safe trip and enjoy. You do have the little wattler to look after you. Mary, when you start packing, just do one room at a time. Easier to keep everything together then. Jude2 - fingers double crossed for tonight. I went and saw the first production of Boy from Oz with Todd Mckenny (? sp) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Jood, can you send me the frog thing please. I know what I am having for lunch. Son has just finished shelling some sand crabs and tonight we are having fish and prawns. Yummeeeeee !!!! I did notice you gave Dr Lew some more titles but she will probably tell you, they were already hers anyway and that she earned them. Yvette, what are lemon polenta cakes. Pretty obvious that I have never tried them. Gwenda, you poor b****r. Take a deep breath, in through the nose (raising both arms as you breathe in) and out through the mouth - repeat 6 times. Gee, I'm beginning to sound like Dr Lew . Was checking out Lauries email just this morning, and those bl*****y things were spinning for me - and I thought I was cool, calm and collected. When and where are you off to, that you need your passport? Can someone please tell me again (CRAFT) how to change the name on the messages to the thread. The little duck |

Good afternoon Wattlers The underfunded Mudgee Retiree will be lolling about while Terry cooks the snags - oh! what a life! Pour me another chardy Jeeves! Stay away from the Genboard - there's some on there that are spoiling for a fight! After all, it's the weekend! My brother came back from the States - minus his luggage. He is not a happy traveller. He was booked on a plane from Seattle to LA with a connecting Qantas flight to Oz, arrived at the Seattle airport to be told the flight had been cancelled as all their pilots had worked up their permittable hours and there wasn't anybody available to pilot the flight! They tried to get him on a flight to LA via San Francisco - his luggage went on the flight but he didn't! It's been missing ever since. He had to wait until the next day for a flight to LA which of course meant he had to be booked on a flight from LA to Oz a day later and he was back late for work. They put him up in a hotel for the night - gave him 2 meal vouchers each worth $8.00 which he couldn't use as there weren't any meals avaliable at the hotel and the nearest 'participating food outlet' was miles away. Besides, $8.00 doesn't buy you much! The hotel he stayed at near Disneyland when he first arrived had no hot water and the card that goes in the door to the hotel room kept on failing to work and he had to go down to reception every time to get them to let him in. (The first 3 times on arrival was with his luggage!) He is so angry - to make matters worse he had calculated that his Ausssie cigarettes would last him until he got home but because of the delay, he ran out and he can't stand American cigarettes so he was stressed to the hilt with no fags! I hope he gets his bags back as all the films he had taken of his trip around the Rockies are in there to say nothing of the presents he had bought for his grand kids - and of course all his clothes. He had his toiletries, his medication and a bag of dirty smalls in his cabin bag! There is a new subdivision going in near us so they've knocked down the beautiful trees and made them into mulch which they are giving away. So OH was down there with the trailer 3 times. Much later after much shovelling, we now have lots of lovely mulch on our garden - but the trees were nicer. I'm pooped - catch up with you all later Anna |

Fanny Genboard is just the General Topics that our Wattle thread is on. Every now and then someone with the Board name of Atlantic Blue comes on and tries to stir everyone up -note his thread about fluffy slippers and the pink mafia, knitting etc. It all sounds very innocent but he just loves to stir the pudding. And everyone takes the bait. I just sit back and watch the fur fly! The frogs came from me originally - I did work out how to do them - but like you, I've forgotten how I did it! I think my OH has it worked out though! Bye Sassy Annie |

Jood, you are naughty. Dr Lew might try and send you to the naughty corner. pmsl. Ask Laurie for the pages that do not move - NOT !!!!!!!!! Have xcel, but not being puta literate, don't know how I'll go. Haven't checked emails yet, but you'll probably hear me when I do. Anna - feel sorry for your brother - been there, done that. I think I was having a whinge the other day on here about my last trip home from my daughters home in Tampa, Florida. Got held up flying (on my broomstick) from Tampa to LA because of (so called) summer storms in winter - as in thunder and lightning. Missed connecting flight to Oz but 1 of my suitcases made it, while the other went to Melbourne a day later. Airline companies (Qantas and America Airlines) didn't put me up in hotel - own expense. Had medication for 1 day, so had to wait till I got home to Bribie to take pills etc a day late. Don't like USA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pppppppppppppppp Really upsets me with all the new sub divisions going on all the time. Lately, every time I take my son to work at Narangba (about 40 minutes travel from Bribie) there are poor little skippys, wallabys, possums and other animals dead on the side of the road. We are destroying more and more of their habitat and they in turn, looking for elsewhere to live are being killed by us. Gooooooooo the trees. Okay, I'll get off my soap box now. Think I'll have a chardy and calm down. Was it me who said just recently, I was cool calm and collected. The 'ruffled' little duck |

Hi Sassy How do you find time to check out the gen board. I am flat out keeping up with this one. By the time I answer, there a a dozen more messages on here. Gwenda, I'm wanting to go to my daughters in Sept too for her birthday. I always carry extra undies etc now in carry on luggage for justin. Keep up with the breathing and if that fails, try a few chardies and maybe a baileys or two. Yvette, please send recipe but I am diabetic - can I eat them? Thanks for the name change data. Tassie, who won the match last night. We didn't get a telecast of it till 7am this morning (Wimbledon on) and I was still in the land of nod. My yahoo page is not updating and I only have the 3/4 time score. Go LIONS..... The little duck |
