Had a gorgous bouquet of flowers deliverd yesterday from a cousin in Perth (she was a day early) but never mind we only met 18 months ago , it's a long story. Hi everyone Locely in Canberra today,,, Just a minute on here before I go to take G/D to work .. Lew. The hearing aid is a Siemens Prisma 2pro..Itis digital and you have to have your hearing tested and they programme it to your individual hearing deficiency.Inner hear ones cost a lot about $5000 au, and are not as good as the behind the ear ones which only cost around$300..Uncle has the behind the ear ones and it is very good,, He has a friend who has had 2 inner ear ones and now prefers the ones behind the ear.. Worth a try seeing it is so much cheaper.. Must fly to take G/D to work Back later Love Maryxxx in Canberra

Oh what a beautiful morning Oh what a beautiful day I've got one week of work left Everything's going my way, hooray!!! Morning Wattlers and a special good morning to our Donna. Dr Lew says you can have any drink you like, my darling. Now let me know when we're having this hospital meet and I'll be there to make sure the hospital is running up to my standards. Of course, I expect that Dr Trifley will also be there, as I require her special input. Thanks for the hearing aid info, Mary. I'll pass that on to Terry to see what he wants to do. ~~~waves~~~ to all and wanders off singing. Lew Lew :-))))))))))))))))

Morning Happy birthday Sandra - paint the town red! Hope you have a wonderful day Happy anniversary Devily and David. Thank you Laurie for the card and to everyone else for your best wishes - 33 years - OMG its gone too fast. Anna what ethical dilemma - aren't all lawyers honest? (smiles sweetly) Donna when you go into hospital don't tell them about us or they will put you in the physch ward as a nutter! lol Have a great weekend rockin ,rollin and drinkin. Mary whats the weather like in Canberra today? I heard the alarm (for once!) at 6.00am and heard the 1/2 time score in the soccer- Ken had brekky watching it - I just wanted to hear that they got through to the 1/4 final. Apparently appalling umpiring (nuff said before I get myself into trouble) but you do know his nationality don't you? (I'm not stirring - really (tongue in cheek). Just proved how great the socceroos are. In the western suburbs down here (big croatian population) everyone was cheering for both sides when they scored - great huh. Feel like I live at work this week, didn't leave until 9.00 last night and back at 7.00 this morning grrrr. don't think we will have any celebrations tonight will be too knackered. Ken is yelling for a cuppa - back later jude 3

Good morning Wattlers . . . A very strange day here on the Bay, I can't see a flamin thing - just a big blur !!! And, no - I haven't touched a dram !!! The glasses are clean !!! Looks like the clouds are just hugging the building !! Plenty of noise outside this morning as the Socceroos fans celebrated the draw, and the chance to go the next round - know nothing of the game, but love what its doing for National Pride. If you dont see me around over the weekend - I will have gone out to West Wyalong to the farm - it all depends on if the lovely Ray can clear the desk today so he can have Monday off. Its not relaxing for him if we drive out 6 hrs Sat and then back Sunday. Have a great time celebrating special event those who have them on their calendar, and for everyone else - celebrate life !!! Little funny sent through by cousin when I told him we have been married 35yrs later in the year . . . . . . . . . after 35 years of marriage A husband and wife go to see a marriage counsellor . The counsellor asks them what the problem is. The wife goes into a tirade, listing every problem they have ever had in the 35 years they've been married. She goes on and on and on and on and on.... for almost an hour. Finally, the counsellor gets up, goes around the desk, and lifts the woman out of her seat. He embraces her and kisses her passionately, fondling her breasts and rubbing her buttocks. The woman shuts up and sits down quietly in a daze. The counsellor turns to the husband and says, 'That is what your wife needs at least three times a week. Can you do that?' The husband thinks for a moment and replies, 'Well, I can get her here Monday and Wednesday, but I have golf every other day !! Wow Lew !!!! 7 Bottles of vino, siiting on the bar 7 bootles of vino sitting on the bar And if 1 bottle of cabsav, should accidently fall we'll be all there slurping, the puddle off the floor Wattlers all . . . . next Friday - no matter where we all are we have to help Lew celebrate !!! (not much chance we will see her on the thread that day!!) cheers luv Laurie

Good afternoon all :) Birthday wishes to the birthday girl for today and anniversary blessings to Tassie and David for yesterday. Sunday 12 noon sounds fine with me Mary - I'll ring you Sat sometime to confirm. Oh yes Yvette, VERY addictive. Had my three students here for their lesson this morning and we practiced the letter R and used recipes to make 'rum balls' (without the rum:) Then I made them lunch - miso soup (out of a packet) and home-made pizzas. It's the last lesson today before a three week break so I wanted it to be special. Has started raining here so Mary might not be still enthusiastic about the weather!! Maybe we could do a series of mini-meets in each state for our first anniversary and then do a Sydney bash with Tassie for the Wattle Thread birthday :) party on Donna - big hugs :) ~~~~~~~~~Vonny
