Lara, Ray said he's not going to tell you that Cunninghams gap is not steep, but it is the main drag for trucks, vans etc and the road is pretty good, as he said a safe road . . there is heaps of double road, and points to pull over. Alternatives are Mt Lindsay which is just as steep (wont mention the little ones) or going up the coast road. You'll be right girl, just get billy to cover your eyes for you. I'm a bit of a handfull on a steep road too - but can handle Cunninghams OK. Well in little less than an hour the 'Barbony Travelling Band' will need to be checked in out at Tullamarine, Hope they manage to get online and check in with us along the way. A lovely day here on the bay today - not much of a breeze, so the sailors out there are haveing a slow day. There are several pleasure craft out - we have three tied upalongside each other right out in fron of us. There has been a lot of shipping action today alread, two Tankers have left Kernell, and several coming and goings of Container ships. We have 5 giraffes with their heads high, the new ones are a wee bit bigger than the others and are easy to pick out. We're having a slow day, Ray is just playing on his puter downloading some photos, then were off to Officeworks to see if they can copy some old original certificates I have. Can't scan to save them (too big) on my machine. We have gtgramps original birth cert from 1846, it has been laminated to hold it together, plus a few others of the large variety - would love to have them stored with all my others on my puter. Since my clean up of my files etc a few weeks back, I have found little bits and pieces I saved along the way that I now have spots for in my jigsaw - as the lovely Ray said - should have done it ages ago! Oooooh Lara, that question is a bit hard. If its a pic and it wants an association, then - dammit - this is too hard. I could do it if it was on my computer, but it's hard to visualise the scene. Sorry mate. Can anyone else help please? Jood

Good afternoon, New wattle list winging its way as we speak. Lara, when I am unable to open an email, I save attachment to recieved files in 'my documents'. I have windows XP. Then to open, go to what ever word processor program you use and open from there. It works for me, I have Star office. Also Lara, Laurie beat me to it about Cunninghams gap. It is as she says, long and winding, with pull ins for you. I must say, it doesn't worry me because I am always too busy looking at the scenery, which is spectacular. Also the bell birds seranade you all the way. We have never pulled a caravan but we did once go up with a tractor on a trailor, coming back down we had no tractor just the trailor. Trifley, this is the same way that you will travel to Mudgee and I forgot to mention that Terry, Lew's OH says that it takes 10 hours. Thats the way he comes if travelling by car. We had a nice afternoon yesterday, went to the broadwater and had a good walk. A lovely bracing see breeze. Then had coffee, It is a bit cooler today and very overcast, rain is forecast. We have started our health program, it seems. Have also been for a long walk this morning. Just where we live. It seems quiet today, so I will take a look in later. Thanks for the warning mate,, The picky man is asking his BIL who is supposed to be a builder to look at something,,dont know what,,but if he comes there will be someone in the house at all times..Either the agent or us,,no one gets in here on their own,, but thanks for the warning,, as we are very trusting people and I would never have thought of it..being a two story house he would have a big climb to get into the roof and the windows are all deadlocked but you never can tell.. I think he is trying to find things wrong so that he can beat the price down,, otherwise why would he come here 3 times,,all times when the agent is here.. Do hope you have a lovely trip north.. Just had a email from my brother who is touring around in his van and he said he cant get into a park in Darwin as they are all full..Seems like dear petrol is not stopping the grey nomads this winter. Lucky he is self sufficient and can camp out..When we went north we went through Bourke and then up to Winton and turned right to Townsville.. Roads are good and little traffic.Lovely parks in Winton and Longreach and a nice park about 8km north of Bourke so no problems with hoons.. Well I put the tickets through the machine this morning and sorry to say NOTHING bugger . will have to wait for next week now. Rebs.. Are you feeling poorly. I do hope not..You should go to the wedding,, it may cheer you up and make you feel better.. Just want to throw a thought out in the wind re the Sydney meet when the little Devil wings her way over to visit us. Instead of going to the Casino what do you all think of going over on the Ferry to Manly to show her a bit of the Old Sydney's best assets and having lunch at one of the many pubs/clubs over there ?? Ferry's go back and forth every 30mins, those coming in from the south by train could hop off and meet up with us at Rockdale Stn to catch the train in if they wanted and any driving in could leave their cars here and come that way too! Or there is a bus to the Quay out my front door (takes a bit longer than the train). Joodles would have to do one change of trains to get to the Quay. For most it would be the same amout of transport changes as getting to the Casino I think! We can organise things around when Devly can get the cheap flights, but just thought I would throw the idea out there and see what everyone thinks cheers luv Laurie

Oh Laurie, not another barge, you will have trouble keeping the Queen away, tarara and all. LOL. Sounds like it would be a lovely day out. I think it would be nice for a stranger coming into Sydney, I would like that if it were me. It's getting quite cold here, I am thinking of putting a cardi on. Mary, we had a funny man wanted to but our guest house. He made us an offer and told us that his next offer would be less so we had better sell to him now. He came back a month later and paid what we were asking. You stick to your guns. I don't know what it is like in Sydney, but there was a report on the news last night that rental properties were getting scarce in Brisbane. Hi Mary - yes I was up with the crows or whatever - 6.00am. Almost back to normal now, b*****dy back plays up if I work standing for too long (good excuse to sit down) .. I think I told you last week than when I iron I sit down every 10-15 mins or so. .. I was in the middle of having osteo treatment for all this happened, so it will be good to get back to more treatment. Mary - everyone including me - has told you not to sell to that picky guy. .. He is bound to want the price to drop -- don't budge PLEASE. .. He's probably a developer or something with grandiose ideas. .. Fingers crossed still. Jood

Hi guys.. and gals..OH its only gals now our man has flown the coop..just in case Tony is watching while waiting for his plane to take off,, sorry Tony.. Laurie.. I am happy with your suggestion about coming to Manly as I wont have to get out of bed so early..LOL..I am only worried about those that have a distance to travel..whatever is decided is OK by me..A suitable venue in Manly is something I cant think of ..Most of the clubs I know are outside Manly and mean more travel. There are a couple of Hotels but they are a bit pricy..If we still go to the Casino we could get back to Circular Quay by ferry which goes under the bridge and train peeps could catch their trains from there..A lot depends on Suzys plane times..I am happy to do whatever is decided. Hi all thanks Laurie and Ray well we found that route on a map and that's how we go so wish us luck peeps Butterfly please can you sign your name at the bottom of messages instead of Butterfly can't keep calling you Butterfly , Mary hope you realise I didn't want to alarm you but one doesn't know these days are different arent they , also tell him to go jump if makes you an offer agent probably told him you want a quick sale my advise is never ever let your agent know as they are all b rogues akin to car salesmen and dare I say some solicitors sorry Terry and Lew but you know some of them are too I bet, we told the bloke when we moved here we didn't want another house in Melb 50 times but he kept saying I will sell your place a bit cheaper but I will get the one you like a bit cheaper for you too . We had told him we already had this place but he wouldnt listen and the final straw was when he rang and said Ive sold your house we were asking at that time $159,000 and he said yes I got $139 .000 for it truly I said naughty words to him and hung up and he rang back and said to Mike your wife is giving me a hard time , could you believe him and and guess what we banned him from our house and we sold it following week for the price we asked for it, got to keep going peeps but will be back later if you are online Barb and Tony hello and byeeee to all love Lara
