I am A + with Anti Kell whatever that is, thanks to four blood transfusions I had to have after an operation. Marie

I was a blood donor for more than twenty years in the UK but they won't take blood from UK citizens here in the Netherlands because of 'Mad Cow Disease'. Christina

I'm A Rh Pos, I used to give blood regularly but one time after doing the thumb test they told me I needed it more than they did. I might try again though, because I do think it's a good thing to do, in fact I've just realised my oldest two children are over 18 now, so I'll try and encourage them to come with me. I don't know what any of my childrens blood groups are (hubby is O+) as when I asked when one of them had the heel test just after he was born, they said they didn't check for that, I think they thought I wanted to know for paternity reasons, although one look at my son would have told anyone that John was his dad!
