I count myself as an agnostic. IE I do believe in a god, but do not follow an organised religion. My god is a personal one and it's called my conscience. Without it I wouldn't sleep at nights!!!! |

Christine, I go to a spiritualist church and I must say I find it a lot less laid back than any other religion, Kate |

Yes. I find it very hard to believe that we just happened upon this earth out of luck! I do not attend church, but definately believe in living a good life and doing as you would be done by ect. I also find it hard to believe that we are here for a split second in time for no purpose, I think that we must have a lesson to learn and be rewarded with a place in 'heaven' with god, or on the next plane of existance or something. The only reason that God or any type of religion exists is, Because the human race need someone or some thing to turn to and or to blame and give them comfort in times of trouble you don't see, dogs, lions, fish, or any other creature's worshiping do you? or are we different? |

I don't know what I believe really, but I do know that I feel better after going to my local Quaker Meeting on Sundays. I like the fact that no one preaches to you or tells you what to think. Religion has always been used as a tool to subjugate the masses or persuade people to act in a certain way. Most people do have their own code of morals by which they live, whether it is a religious code or not. If there were no evil in the world, there would be no merit in believing in goodness or trying to do good/resist temptation. nell |
