I am definately English Pippa. You ask why? Because we go back on the written records as far as they go in Dorset and I firmly believe that my ancestors are buried in the tumuli on the hills near my home.We challenged Time Team and Know Your Ancestors to do a DNA match ,but so far they have not.Although they were very interested.The Ramblin'One |

ENGLISH !! Born in Liverpool, family goes back to 16th Century in Lancashire. Did 15 years in the BRITISH army then 10 years in the Civil Service. Possessions include full-size Union Jack and framed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. First car - a Morris 10 1936 model. |

I was born in England but lived in Scotland nearly all my life, hubby is a Scot and my sons, my Mother and numerous rellys go back to this village longer than most locals....so I feel mixed....mainly Scottish with an English heritage too and an English accent. But Scotland is home. |

English as I can trace my line back for at least 150 years in the UK. But from my surname may be Norman-French? So maybe French pre-1066 ! Lol |

I was born in England but have lived in Wales most of my life. My mother and Father were born in England too but my Mothers Mother was born in Scotland and her Grandparents in Ireland. I still concider myself to be English though. Christine x |

I consider myself English. I was born and raised in England. My Father was scottish as was his father. My grandad considered himself Scottish as he was born and raised there even though his father was Irish. |

I am Scottish with English mother born in Kenilworth and Scottish father born in Glasgow, though his mum is Norwegian and her mum is Swedish My mum's family is English though she has been in Glasgow since St Patricks Day 1947 |

I was born in England but Dad is Irish and Mum is English with an Irish grandfather.most of my rellies on mums side come from Cornwall back to 1500's and Dad's rellies are Irish.i have to say i feel Irish rather than English Karen |
