Sipping wine and eating cakes Is what we do best, for goodness sakes The coffee’s good, the tea is fine But I enjoy my glass of wine Unless of course you offer champers (the type you get in luxury hampers) Very wet I've been today Caught without a brolly I must say Weather looks good for the weekend I think So go on out folks, forget the kitchen sink Xpect Ron will be around at the weekend And more wine he’ll bring, you can depend Yes please to flagons of tasty red Grapes grown down by the brilliant Med?? Zipping off now, my bags to pack College in the morning, alas, alack

Very few places do really nice cakes A good pastry cook would be all it takes Well all this talk of food makes my tummy rumble So I’ll have a sandwich, which is rather humble Xtremely tired I’ve been all day, it’s true It happens that way when I’m feeling blue Yet the sun is shining, the dog been walked And to my friends I have sat and talked Zipping off now to read another book But will be back later to have a look

Cabbage and leek is a nice combination thought I'd give it a try- caused me wrath and consternation when I let the lot boil dry. Dire was the smell right through the house, charred and black was the pan, soaked it in salt for a day or two, scrubbed up well, as good as new. Exceptionally boring tale for you- I'll liven it up if I can. For what was I doing when I burnt the greens - two of my five a day? Genealogy? Belly dancing? Can't blame you for asking. How was I to watch the stove when I was multi- tasking?

Barbara Report 20 Sep 2006 17:41

Bye they've battened down the whippets up the road at Mill the trams may all stop running we'll all have time to kill but I'll boil an extra flat cap so we all shall eat our fill then we'll sit beneath the gas lamp as we carefully mend our tripe and listen to the wind up gramaphone electric is for posh folks them down in the south I've heard they have it in Harrogate not that they put it about!
