Round and round the parcel goes and we all forget our aches and woes

Quite quick I really have to be but all the kiddies are quicker than me

Pass the parcel thats what we play when we all sit round on Christmas Day

Only just a few to go then we can all sit back and say ho ho ho!

Now, I am off to buy something on ebay. I will see you all another day!

My usual rhymes are rather long But now short and sweet will be my song!

Look, now we are on to eight three four. I am sure you can all add some more.

Keep the lines brief,Just a couple at a time We will reach a thousand in a very short time

Just keep adding every day Come on everyone, have your say!

I won't despair, here is eight three one, Adding rhymes is oh such fun!

Dorothy do not despair we can do one thousand rhymes even though its Christmas time Even if you add one line or if your good and add say nine For soon we will be you see sitting at the top of the Christmas tree Goodness what a load of rubbish I say do forgive me please I pray Heavy winds and rain outside will do my rhymes and here shall bide

Oh so lovely to read all your Christmas thoughts As we battle with shopping, wines, biscuits and ports. Presents are so hard to choose Rushing around, no time to lose. Quite agree with my friend Dorothy G. Busy shopping centres are no fun for me. Rushing, pushing, noisy crowds I hate I like a quiet walk with my dog and coffee with a mate So difficult to find things for teenage boys. They are too old for childhood toys. They like digital cameras, music too loud to bear X boxes, mobile phones and hoodies to wear Unless you know the latest craze You could wander the shops in a bemused daze

Oh! dear where are you are you busy yes I'm sure thats true Perhaps your all watching TV that is why you don't play with me! Quick I'll fill the glasses full and maybe a cracker or two to pull

Lots of Festive Cheer about kiddies excited without a doubt Must get ready for Saturday night g/kid and panto hope they don't get a fright Now going to town to get bits and bobs the money is going poor hubby just sobs

Don't believe it, Ron's gone off again to Wales, and Rain - and Not to Sunny Spain! Even so I am sure he'll enjoy hmself amongst those Welsh Valleys For there's Leeks and Daffodils and singing a-plenty Gosh, no, not finished Christmas shopping not much to get now and soon will be stopping Have one or two more items yet to get must admit have done a fair bit on the Internet! I hate crowded town centres and the traffic is dreadful, so it's easier that way and my blood-pressure stays stable! Just hoping that we might reach that magic one thousand - what do you think? X is often found in a Christmas card 822 from around the world thats hard. Yes it nice to see you all adding here even new people bringing good cheer. Zzzzzzzzz i have no seen much I'm in Wales so not not in here much. A merry Christmas i bid you all i hope you all have a ball. Oh Dorothy I think you are right. Christmas is so commercial, it is such a fright. Presents have to be the latest craze, Has me rushing round in a daze. Quite what does Christmas mean today. What do you think, what can we say?
