I've dragged this back up cos now i think GR are taking the mick out of me!! Have you seen the ad - bottom right asking how many shots your memory card holds? Well my 4 memory cards hold LOADS of shots but the damn camera is broke so no chance of proving it!! PMSL!!

Yes Ann, picked it up after work. Had to charge the battery for a couple of hours, but have now taken a few shots. Software is installing now, and then I'll see how they look... Daisy... of course you deserve it too lol

Paul I'm so glad you treated yourself and yes you do deserve it. Tom is playing with his new toy at the moment too! We bought him a digital SLR for his birthday last week. I treated myself to a few new things last week and a new skirt yesterday and shall be buying a little something to wear to a ball on Saturday night. Like you, I think I deserve the odd treat. Daisy

mines silver lol I've not used anything other than a point and shoot compact before, first film and then digital. So, as you say, steep learning curve.

Diana shut your eyes love. Paul If you have ever used a 35mm camera (SLR) the difital is no different. if you haven't you are in for a steep learning curve, but you can still use them as 'point and shoot', you don't have to use all the clever bits, although if you do it is more fun. Thinks ' good job it is black not pink or she'd have a real hissy fit! Ann Glos

Ann, As mentioned my old compact digital is knackered (full of sand - wonder how that happened ? lol). I've bought a Nikon D50 with an 18-55mm lens. Now I just heave to learn how to use it lol Paul

Hi Dawn I giggled when I saw it and it just had to go in my trolley! I thought you must be really famous lol Kaz :o)

Sorry diana! Actually had a bonus with mine. It is a Minolta Konica AF and I had not realised that the 35mm Minolta AF I had 6/7 years ago has compatible lenses, so now have one camera and three lenses of varying lengths. I have had a play with it but only taking straight shots on various distances. Results are good though. The reason I bought it is that DiL had one lastw eek in MK and I had a play and liked it. Now have to sell my other one to pay towards it. Ann Glos
