I'd like to think you do however how come good things always seem to happen to bad people? Thinking of that chap who has a criminal record and won the Lottery ....... many more i could think of like people, good homest people , who mind their own business and yet get picked on , raped , murdered and the like..........

I think some people have constant bad luck withoutdeserving it. Some people are really horrible and always come up smelling of roses. Just occasionally though, some people do get their just desserts.

I do beleive you reap what you sow. But my luck has been so bad over the last 5yrs especially, and I can assure you we haven't deserved it, and it just keeps coming we would do anything to help anyone and would never hurt anyone unless of course unless they hurt us.My friends have started saying if anyone slings any muck they always throw it your way. I also beleive you only get out of a relationship what you put in but I am slowly learning that in some relationships no matter what you put in you will be dissapointed at what you get back. People never fail to dissapoint me now days. So yes I beleive they have different meanings having bad luck is just unlucky I guess. Denise.

I agree with what Teresa said ... I don't think that if something bad happens to you, you must have done something bad to deserve it. But I do believe that if you DO do something bad, then yes, you will reap what you sow and it will all come back to haunt you. When you have children, you do have to stop and think very carefully before you act childishly yourself. Mandy

I do believe that what you do will eventually come around and bite you on the ass and with that in mind think I must have been a serial killer in a former life!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think though that the state of your mind when you sow determines whether or not you reap i.e. during my first marriage I was particularly hateful to my husband, I was also seriously depressed and unable to function without medication, should I therefore reap that which I sowed unknowingly? Yes you reap what you sow!! I truly believe that you should treat people how you want them to treat you, but then I don't believe in turning the other cheek!! Parents should be more mindful of their actions good or bad!! My ex-husband treats his kids like they are gods.... sadly they treat their father like he is their servant!! he's reaping what he sowed! My mother treated me badly, and now she's on her own she says she needs me..... too late now tho.... so she's reaping what she sowed!! It all comes back to us in the end!

Thanks for all your input and opinions. I still stick by my initial opinion, if you do bad things expect it to come around to you again. :0) xx

I think we are all sowers and all reapers, noone is perfect so we all do things or say things at times which we should have thought twice about. Sometimes we reap far more than we could ever sow.....while others do so many bad things and nothing comes back to them. I am a great believer in life being a book already written for each of us....maybe if we try to change how the book is written, it upsets the balance, maybe if we try to turn a page too quickly it rips a bit....but then if our book was read from cover to cover with out so much as a turned over corner in a page......we never enjoyed the read to the full.

No I don't agree. The reason I say this is because if this was the case there would be more people in jail for murder, fraud, theft and elderly people wouldn't be worried about going out their homes at night. I also think a lot of people get away with a lot of things because there rich. You can give, give, give all you life and not get anything back. No No No what goes around doesn't come around and you don't reap as you sow. Betty

Lemsip - You speak a lot of sense. I'm not saying that the bad things that happen to good people are fair. All I'm saying is, if you do one (or several!) things wrong, which are malicious and downright evil... expect it to come back and bite you in the behind! Even if you don't experience something awful... you'll always have it on your conscience, which in many cases is the worst punishment possible!
