I think, I could mail him and tell him who i am, as he knows that i exist, and yes i suppose if he doesn't want to get in touch he just won't reply. So that way it won't hurt me to much. My mom is another matter, i wouldn't hurt her for the world, it's so hard to explain, I am extreamly close to mom, and i'm wondering if i can keep it secret from her, something i have never done before, as we have no secrets between us. I agree with Esmerelda. You know your mum best but obviously she knows they exist and I would think she will have some idea that you might eventually get in touch with them. Maybe be better to be straight with her but you will know best how much this will upset her. Just my personal opinion but I would make contact if it was me.

Kal I would have to contact him - if he's registered on here he must know there's a chance you will be contacting him? Write it as Esmeralda has said and as others have said - be prepared for rejection. I wish you all the luck in the world! Debby

I just wouldn't be able to resist making contact. I would probably explain that I had been young and nervous about contacting him before but had regretted it ever since. But as for the sitution with your Mum, it's hard to say, you know her best so only you know if it would upset her if she found out. :-))))))))))))))))))))

On searching the names on the 'search ' I find that my half brother has registered on genes, I don't know if he is a full member. I have a half sister and three half brothers, the sister I met briefly many years ago, and my hubby took her back to this half brothers house, and he did give an invitation for me to meet him, but at the time I was young and lets say I never realised I should not have let that opportunity go by. (To scared more like, lol) I have regretted it ever since. These children are from my dads first marriage, and even though my dad is no longer alive and nor is my half brothers mom. I so want to just meet him just once in my life, but I am terrified of upsetting my mom, as I love her dearly. I am also more terrified of being rejected by him, as I had heard over the years that he wanted nothing to do with us, but then why the invitation years ago. My fingers are itching to click on the contact button, but what would I say, lol my hands shake at the thought of clicking that button. Oh help what should I do Kal
