Life goes on day after day Hearts torn in every way So ferry 'cross the Mersey 'Cause this land's the place I love And here I'll stay People they rush everywhere Each with their own secret care So ferry 'cross the Mersey And always take me there The place I love People around every corner They seem to smile and say We don't care what your name is boy We'll never turn you away So I'll continue to say Here I always will stay So ferry 'cross the Mersey' Cause this land's the place I love And here I'll stay And here I'll stay Here I'll stay

Why stop with one pop ??? Much more satisfying to twist and pop in large numbers. When you walk through a storm hold your head up high...

Only one song you need to know today Mr. Loxley..... When you walk through a storm hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone.

The reds are coming up the hill boys, The reds are coming up the hill boys. They all laugh at us They all mock at us They all say our days are numbered. Born to be a Scouse Victorious are we, If you wanna win a cup Then you'd better hurry up Cos we're Liverpool FC Stel forgive my absence I have been so busy recently, and when I did log on the tension on this site was sorely obvious, I chose to stay away not wanting to get involved in any of it.

Then perhaps you might be forgiven Minstrel..... But maybe you might choose your unmelodious chords more carefully next time. L

For Donna Marie. In England, the song was recorded in the early 1960s by Liverpool group Gerry & the Pacemakers, and reached #1 in the UK charts on the 26th October 1963 where it stayed for 4 weeks. It was immediately adopted by Liverpool Football Club supporters and is invariably sung by them at matches (the words You'll Never Walk Alone feature in the club crest). The song subsequently spread to other football crowds, where it is sung intermittently, such as: Scotland: Celtic F.C.. Netherlands: Feyenoord Rotterdam, Ajax Amsterdam, FC Twente. Germany: Mainz 05, FC St. Pauli, Borussia Dortmund, 1. FC Köln. Japan: F.C. Tokyo. Australia: St. Joseph's College, Hunters Hill. Before the first leg of the 2002/2003 UEFA Cup tie between Celtic and Liverpool at Celtic Park, all the fans were led in the singing of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' by Gerry & The Pacemakers frontman Gerry Marsden, who became entangled in his microphone lead. Marsden was to do the same at the return leg at Anfield, but was unable due to a scheduling conflict. Donna I would have liked to have seen Liverpool and Celtic singing together!!!
