Congratulations Sandra, from another first time gran!! Jac will be 3 in August and definitely granny's boy, even though he has another gran and stepgran so I'm chuffed. It will be cold in January - no harm in knitting, babies need lots of changes. I had kept the shawl my sister in law knitted for my daughter in 1970 and it was used for Jac. Enjoy - Christine xx

yes they use shawls these days....especially for their homecoming trip or for use at christening/baptism/naming ceremony...and it just screems heirloom form granny!!! :-))))))) get those needles out now!!!

Hello Kath, another one, we will have to start a new grannies club......You are a month ahead of mine....Early January...! I don't think we knit things any more or the needles would be flying by now....so many cute thing out there these days and I am miles from shops............Trying to stay calm for the next couple of months.....Don't tell anyone she said....Whoops....Not told any of the family yet....Had to tell this lot....Sandra...

Had an odd dream two nights ago, so don't think I am potty , but my mum appeared holding a baby girl.! told my son and he had a similar dream with both mum and dad smiling at him....Spooky...Rag Dolly will understand....Have now told Fiona......so happy....

Thanks everyone......High as a kite ....Very early days,Beginning of January so fingers crossed...she has been married for seven years but a career girl, has now decided it is the right time....Just had my son on the phone,27 and so excited....and the Ex-husband practically in tears with excitement....Old x and I have always got on well....
