Thanks Polly Gwen, don't worry about not understanding it. It is a different language! lol Aberdonian more so. I still haven't picked it all up despite my numerous visits to Aberdeen. My brother used to sit there for 2 weeks not understanding a word of what some of our scottish relatives were saying. x lesley

Thanks Chris. I also used to get confused when people said 'so and so was staying at Stonehaven' or something like it. They meant so and so was living at Stonehaven However, I would take it as meaning they were visiting there.

There's a few in the area but they're not natives! My father in law was Fraserburgh and never lost his accent completely, he toned it down a bit as my mother in law was born in Inverness and lived there till she was 13. First time I heard the accent was on my wedding day and I was mesmerised. People kept speaking to me and I hadn't a clue what they were on about!

Right when i used to go to Glasgow i had a way of understandin them line up you lot~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ now all eat a toffee and talk at the same time

Like it Gwen! Not allowed toffees, but cheated today and had 3 Reisens - dark chocolate toffees, lovely. None of them eejits on here girls - hopefully it'll be a nice weekend. I don't usually log on on a Friday night. Eejits in every country - no way has anyone got the monopoly on them!! Off to look for Woods
