Em I wouldn't have known you had anything wrong if you hadn't said. Gosh we all forget all spell things wrong sometimes ( if you saw some of my postings before I check them I can't type for toffee). We love you just the way you are and I think whoever pulled you up on the spelling error is rude and short of something to do. If it is obvious what anyone means does it matter how it is spelt. As for fogetting things I have no excuse but am one of the worlds worst I think Oh well what the heck worse things to worry about. Germaine x Who just went to put the custard powder in the fridge and the pies in the cupboard.

I think what people need to remember is that we have members from all walks of life on here. OK Em you made a spelling error which embarassed you, there are people who make mistakes all the time spelling and grammar and wrong words, but we don't know what education these people had. I know that there are people on here who have only in adulthood learnt to read and write, think how humiliating it would be for them to be corrected on the board. That is why we must all show tolerance at all times. Ann glos

I just want to say a heart felt thank you to all of you that replied to this thread... your comments not only touched my heart, but i think others too that have read/will read this thread. It shows not only that Gr has so many caring and thoughtfull people as members but also, that there are so many of us that for one reason or another are living with some sort of problem, disibility, or illness, that nobody on the outside world would have the tiniest inkling of, and not the slightest idea about save you coming forward on here and speaking out. My point? well... What is tolerance? -- it is the consequence of humanity. We are all formed of frailty and error; let us pardon reciprocally each other's folly -- that is the first law of nature..... Voltaire...

Em - hope it wasn't me made a comment, I have been known to do that as I have such a thing about spelling, I can't help it, I think it is another of my OCD thingies. Spelling was about the only thing I was good at at school. Now I have FM and CFS my memory is going too, and I search for words, names of things and such which is really hard for me to accept because my friends used to rely on my memory to help them out. My friend once said to my o.h. when they first met,' the trouble with Liz is she has such a darned good memory!' So if it was me I do apologize, I never knew you had had an accident, you come across as a very well rounded lady (not your figure!) who is the same as all of us, sometimes a bit flustered, maybe a bit worried but always on top of life, and very kind and caring. My old lady Mabel who left this world earlier this year, made me laugh when she told me this little joke. (She was an extremely respectable and religious lady, quite proper in her ways, but every now and then she would surprise me with some comment or joke that showed me a different side to her altogether .) The vicar visited an elderly lady in his parish, and said he wanted to talk to her about God and what happens when you die. He asked her if she ever thought about hell and the hereafter. 'Oh yes, Father,' she said 'I go into my kitchen and I think, then I go into my lounge and I think, and then I go into my bedroom and I think, I think 'What the hell am I here after?' Bless her, she told me this at least twice a month, when I was visiting her. R.I.P. Mabel. Liz

Liz, many thanks for your message, it did make me smile ;)) I think i may have to point something out though, perhaps it explains my frustration a little better... English was 'my' subject at school.. ( rubbish at maths) i found the '0' level and 'A' level a breeze.. mum was an english teacher, so that helped. I did struggle with my degree a bit but that was more down to all the partying and late nights i think, though i did manage a fairly decent result. :)) What i mean is, Its knowing what was up there in my head and the fact some of its missing... AND the fact i know some of it is missing , is the upsetting and frustrating factor in all this... :*((
