Hi Guys Your thought on this subject INTERNET DATING After reading a thread on here over the weekend and chatting a few friends I didnt realise how populer these sites are (no i'm not going on one lol) But i did wonder if this is the new way to meet someone rather than down the pub or club ect We all know how easy it is to make friends online it happens all the time So just wonderd is it a good thing or bad thing, and will the art of chatting up someone face to face become something of the past Steve xx |

From my experience the art of chatting up is not one that many men have managed to master! lol I think that it depends on your senario. For some people they can't get to the pub or clubs for whatever reason. Like if you are slightly older, you're friends are settled down so not up for going to these places so much, I think that is where internet dating has its main niche! I think it is fine as long as people are very careful with it. I have not done it myself but know of people that have and very successfully. |

Mags - you are so right ............. Mid 40's - no single friends - makes it hard to get out there and do stuff ............. my last relationship started as friends thru a dating site ........ ended in tears 2 years later - but we are still good buddies :O)) I just sit here and stare at my screen waiting - patiently lolol |

i going to a wedding on 2nd September of a friend at church, they met through online dating agency .... she is 74 and he is 75 .... and it is wonderful .... two lovely people ... so wish them every happiness ..... Been to 4 weddings over last 5 years and they all met in a chat room and all are very happy .... Patricia .. ps still looking for mine rofl xxxxxx suppose it might help if i joined a dating agency lol |
