I take it you mean 'follow birthday suit' lol. It was tempting but if you had seen me naked you would know why I didn't. Especially with all the children who kept running past and giggling:)

I will go topless sometimes when I am outside. ie in the garden or a park, but I ALWAYS put a top on if I'm going into a shop, supermarket or shopping centre. JJH

Hi Steve Yr obviously in the same boat as me lol I bet you do Lynda;)) You know what? Me and OH took my mum shopping last week and I was told by a security guard I couldn't go in cos I was barefooted on grounds of hygiene!! They let people in there who haven't washed for 6 months! I was so livid I actually swore in front of my mother lol. It's not as if I was going to go running through the tomatoes is it *applauds BC* lol Bella - I never wear any suncream :)) Go on Carol - try it lol

My only complaint on this matter is - there are far too many young men with good bodies walking around topless !!!!!!! Not good for my blood pressure pmsl ;O)P

You are so right. As a nation I think we worry too much about such things. Not that I would go topless, don't want to scare my next door neighbour. I think it's a matter of being comfortable with ones self.

I wonder what they would have thought to the couple we saw on Kynance Cove last week David. Beaches were busy, as you can imaginge with all that heat. For obvious reasons (I was in a cossie lol-not a pretty sight) hubby and I walked round to where we know it is usually quiet. Our usual spot was taken by a couple of nudists and although the girl had a shapely figure, the chap was quite chunky with a tum. Photos on request lol:)))) Chrissie x

The only time I tut when I see a topless man is when he is strolling about looking like a lobster. Men are just not as clued up as women regarding sun protection. T shirt or lobster is usually the only choices.

I just wanted to say that there is a time and place, whether you are tanned and toned or round and looser. Male or Female A shopping center in Bromley, Kent actually has signs up asking men to wear tops when in the center. Also, be proud of your bodies and love yourself.....x Vikkix

lol Anne. Is there actually a law about women going topless though? Seems very unfair though there is an MP who is trying to make it illegal for men to as well:)

I think men are lucky that they can go topless in public when it's this hot - much cooler by far. And I of course have no objection to seeing a wide variety of tanned torso's on display :O)) I admit to going topless myself - but can only do so in the privacy of my secluded garden ................

I have seen and heard a lot in the media and in general conversation lately about men taking their tops off in this hot weather and it's really getting on my nerves. One article (may have been by Amanda Platell?) was saying that men should keep covered unless they are young and toned! A lot of people seem to agree with that and I think that attitude stinks. It's the same attitude that sends people into depression about their body image and helps cause anorexia and bullimia. Personally I think we are far too prissy about our bodies anyway - if men or women want to go topless or bottomless in this heat it wouldn't worry me and we'd soon all get used to it:)
