I became a great Auntie on the 16th August and up to today the little man has no name so maybe a few names on here i can pass to my nephew Margaret xx

What ever you choose make sure it's not a name that we get the child teased at school and be careful of what the initials spell. Gwynne

At the moment they have come up with Ewin , Alfie , and Jake none of which realy go with his surname. Congratulations Bonny Tinkerbell Margaret xx

I have Grandaughter: Sydnie, Sadie, Savannah and Riley and another due soon Macie! and Grandson Jared,Louie. the names I like at the moment are Mathilda (Tilly) Atlanta, Xanthe.

Gwynne is so right about initials,I named my first son Gregory Paul (GP) of course he got called Doc by his friends. :-)))

My daughter is Rona whic h can`t be shortened. My own -Rosalyn gets shortened to Ros or Roz which I hate but I heard a different one the other day -Salyn! Ros

Whatever name you choose someone will think of a nickname! There are umpteen babyname lists on the internet. nell

Why don't you look at your tree for inspiration? There are some lovely old names which seem to have been lost in time. My great grandmothers on my mother's side were called Eliza & Maud, which I both like. Although my great x2 grandmother was called Theophilia and my great x2 aunt called Philadelphia, so perhaps not all old names are suitable! Good Luck! Rachelxx

bonny - really like old names myself - alice for a girl and william for a boy unfortunately with my last name we couldnt have william - poor little mite would have been wee willy winkie lol

Hi Bonnie Congrats to you and oh. I dont like names that can be shortened so I went with Jake Luke and adam. But must admit now they get Lukey Jakey and Addy. Cant win really. Girls names I like Chole and Elizabeth. Janet xx
