I totally agree with you Ann, I just want to have a chat with people like I use to do, I have no hidden agenda, I don't care who you are, as long as you respect me I will always respect you. People that have gone to pastures new I wish you good luck, but is there any need to spoil it for me!!! Please can you tell me cos I would love to know. I have met some of you and you know I'm not a nasty person I just want to have a chat, I'm stuck at home all day, with children and to me this is company. I have sat here today and cried at all the hatred towards this site if Olly my husband come in now he will wonder what the hell is going on. Please can you spare a though for the people like myself who have never caused bother, who get on with everyone who just want a decent conversation, without having to listen to comments like it smells in here-Do I smell then? These comments from people I use to chat to-I'm so upset I can't tell you. catherine xx

Unfortunately there are those who do not intend to let go. Sadly they are people I thought of as good people, friendly and kind. They criticized the WUMs(as they called them). Now they are in danger of becoming WUMs themselves and spoiling the enjoyment of those of us who just want to live in peace. They are not hurting GR at all they are hurting people who were their colleagues on here who are unable to do anything about the situation but carry on as normally as we can. Ann Glos

Last night we hosted my wife's third cousin from Oz and her husband. We made contact through here. She has been researching for 30+ years, we have been doing it for three, but we were able to help each other out. Please don't let differences of personality or opinion damage the site and curtail the chances of similar contacts. Better to have short memories than a long war!

David, I am not particularly optimistic because people will go on dragging it up. I have compassion for any who were inadvertently caught up in the mess and I do sympathise with Lemon who I didn't see do anything wrong and who has always been a peacemaker on here. I have not put this up for people to continue to slate GR and I will delete it if that happens. i have put it up to ask people to be unselfish and remember the people who rely on the site being here for them to talk to their friends when they are poorly and/or lonely and unable to get out. Surely we can all do that. i am aware that the original instigators are still on here and I am appealing to them too, for goodness sake we are not children. I don't rely on GR but many do. OC I am not asking people to forgive GR and forget, just to be compassionate. if that is beyond some people then so be it I will have tried (as, I might add, would Lemon if she were in my place) Ann Glos

But I fear this is a lost cause now, as all she did was mention her name and add a few innocent threads this morning, and I am sure you know her as most people spoke to the lady at one time or another as she took time for anyone who needed her. I don't know the person you refer to but if someone has got caught up in all this drama by accident I am sure the Management would listen to a sensibly worded approach from those who knew and respected her. It can only be in everyones interests to restore someone of such great merit. Why not contact them? Baz

Sad though when people like one lady I know, who spent hours answering people with problems by Pm sometimes well in to the night when she should have been sleeping, laughed on the boards, and talked to anyone who talked to her, cried at others heart ache while hiding her own at times. Someone real who you could see on pictures, who offered hospitality in her own home to Genes members and still would, is dispensed of. One who never sent a bad Pm or left anyone unanswered if she could help it. Peace and the Gen Top board was her main concern always.
