Just a point to make out Ann 'you would not seek them out ' In most recent cases, certain trouble makers have followed people onto threads ..sometimes continually where some people are concerned, to disagree with everything their victim says...and to flamebait and court arguments.. Sometimes once a victim is focused on, the tormenting continues as thinly veiled attacks and digs, until the victim explodes with rage and gets punished for doing so. Elaine x

It wont if people with a grudge stop antagonising GR by putting silly messages on Success board. ann Glos

whilst the boards were stopped, all i could think of was anyone who was lonely of needed help in anyway. they couldnt let us know that they needed support from their friends on here. an individual may not have the right answer to peoples problems but if we all have an imput, there may be one of us with the right answer, it worried me that we werent there for others and nothing could be done. no one was quite sure if p ms were getting through either at one point. i just hope it does not happen again. tina x

How strange Anne, at the same time you were typing that I was typing something very similar on Julianne's thread. ann Glos

I will say now as I have before - if you see a thread turning nasty - then ignore it - if the nasty people wish to talk to themselves so be it. However I did mail GR this week and ask that only members be allowed to participate and that as far as I was aware it was the members not GR who carried out the research - only a standard reply was received. I replied but have not heard further and do not expect too. Remember if you do not like - ignore. If you went out for the evening and saw someone you did not like because they caused trouble - you would not seek them out - would you? Not if you wished to have a pleasant time - same applies to the boards. Ann

Normally people do all help each other on here but unfortunately in the past two or three days it has gone pear shaped and we seem to have lost our way. But we are still all the same people underneath and we will still support each other I know it. ann Glos

I've just joined Genes in the last few days, and was initially delighted to see stories of how much people helped each other out. But now I'm amazed at the amount of bickering, back-stabbing, and squabbling that also appears to go on. What on earth do people find to fall out about??? My kids play nicer in the playground!

Joy, it was nasty I agree. Colin, good to see you Hi. We will get there there is room for more than one Gen site to run in tandem amicably. Once the silliness has died down it will be OK. Ann Glos

I joined GR to do my Family Tree. As a result of using this site I have been contacted with other members who are part of my extended family. If I had not joined this site I would never have been in touch with these people who have helped in extending my Family Tree. Thanks to GR for that. Pat
