jennifer is aware of this story ,,,,,,,, ,,but my friends Gordon & Linda also lost a son Gordon jnr to SAD's he was 23,happy.as thought a healthy young man,,,,doing the job he loved Nursing/Caring,,,,had a very religious outllook just went to bed and never woke up, anyone in the Peterbrough area would have read this story in the local paper and its coming up to the 2nd anniversary ,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the devestation this causes family as with all unexplained deaths is such a hard cross to bear but doubley so knowing that you could be an unknown carrier,, ,,, while you have a long and hopfully gifted life you may have given your children/grandchildren an unexploded time bomb,,,,,,to go off in their prime,,,,,,,,,,,,, So while all the threads in suport of Jennifer, this thread is her sole concern and needs to be kept upfront, |

I remember about 15 years we had a lady whose son died. He was 16. I remember her saying it was something similar to a cot death but in an adult. Now I suspect that it may of been SADS but I don't think there was a name for it then. Is it the same thing? Jennifer has brought a lot of awareness to people through her posts. Love to you Jennifer Linda |

It is so sad. Just heard on Thursday that a co-workers son (age 14) died of it on Tuesday. Mum went to wake him for first day back to school after summer holis and found he had died in his sleep. So tragic. God Bless those who have to go through with a tragidy like this. |

Hi Jennifer I'm so sorry for your loss - how incredibly brave of you to want to raise awareness. I knew a child at the school where I work, that died of SADS, but previously had never heard of it. Sharon xx |

If 8 young adults are dying from this every week, that means 32 a month, which in turn is 384 a year - and very little is known about it - until it strikes home - 384 lost lifes - but the number of people left affected by this is far more, all the family and friends that are left without their loved one's and all the heartache that follows. More people need to be aware of this and more money needs to be awarded to research so we can stop this dreadfull thing happening. Please help me make people aware of this and hopefully something can be done. I am going to look into ways of improving awareness and I will keep you posted. Thank you Jennifer. |
