Awdrey, we found a recipe on a web site for a drink made with sea water and milk, and one of the girls on the course decided to give it a try. We only managed a couple of sips each. ;-))

Roger Taylor, Drummer of Queen is from King's Lynn. King's Lynn is famous for it's Witch Trials. Stephen Fry, lives just outside Lynn (Only up the road from me) Along with Great Yarmouth, first place in the world to be bombed by ememy aircraft. Henry VIII kept one of his wives prisoner in the Red Mount Castle. Queen Isabella of France went insane after killing her husband at Castle Rising, apparently she still haunts the keep! George Vancouver, was from King's Lynn. Can't think of anything else.

I was born in Hampshire, not far from Ann in Glos. I don't think of the place as a town but I guess it has grown so much that it is one now. There is a castle, which has the most complete Roman walls in Europe. Within these walls down by the shore of Portsmouth Harbour the Normans built a tall keep and the parish church, where I married.- a lovely setting. Over the years, the site has been a Roman fortress, mediaeval stronghold, Royal palace and Napolionic prison. Gwyn

Gwynne, my friend was married there, beautiful little church. I had two friends who were born/lived in the 'town' until they married in the late 50s/60s. And my parents were cremated at the crematorium there. That is if I have got the correct place. can't think of another castle in the area. Ann Glos
