The Royal standard was raised during the English Civil War. Robin Hood supposedly lived there. More importantly Lesley Crowther was born here. Now you're jealous! |

Some interesting ones Sue I have learnt something this evening, hadn't realised she had connections with Kent At the 1950 and 1951 elections, Margaret Roberts, as she was then. fought the safe Labour seat of Dartford, and was at the time the youngest ever female Conservative candidate for office. ;-)) |

The town I was born in, was supposedly the home for a while of, Daniel Defoe, where a lot of the roads are named after him, including the local pub. Chadwell-St-Mary |

Jeffery Archer was mp once lol - god what a claim to fame also think its got the biggest spire on a country church in england - not sure about the facts on this one but seem to remember something about it from school - btw born in Louth Lincs |
