60's Certainly my era. The Beatles dare i say they were booed off the stage here think it was 1962 just before they made it big. PJ Proby splitting his pants The Tremeloes Moody Blues Gerry and the Pace Makers Hermans Hermits Oh the list goes on. Mini skirts!! Catherine Oh Yes we had them the shorter the better. Remember going to the office Christmas party was Dancing wiht a director and my boss came up said We don't mind you dancing with the office staff but please don't show their undies!! Oh dear was I embarassed mind you had a pair of good legs then !!! I used to buy a dress go straight up stairs and shorten it funny thing was the next time I went to wear it it was long again. My Mum had been up and took it down lol after a while she just gave up. The start of Disco's neon lights made wearing white great and it gave you a tan!! Well while you were in there. Was born in '64 but remember going to the toffee shop after tea with a threepenny bit and getting loads!! Never had enough for Maltesers though. Gutted. |

Del Shannon, The Righteous Brothers, Cilla Black, The Beetles, Jerry and the Pacemakers, Manfred Mann. Saw the Beetles in Birmingham in 1963/4 and Manfred Mann in the eighties after he had lost his popularity, but he was still good. England won the cup and I got married! Lynda x |

I uesed to sell framed pic' of the Beetles,the hollies and loads of other stars in Rhyl market in 63 for 2/11p never saw any of them live though. We had big hand bags that we bought small animals made for coulerd pipe cleaners and fasten them on the hand the more you collected the better also large baskets with covers on them. Then had two children 67& 69 Valxxx |
