Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 20 Jan 2007 02:42

My paternal great grandfather was a Stonemason as was his son, my great uncle, and I learned just this week that he worked on the Manor owned by the Rothchilds in Waddesdon?, Bucks. Another son, my grandfather, was a Carpenter and Joiner, and made the coffins for the village he lived in, Gawcott in Bucks. My maternal grandfather looked after the horses that pulled the fire engine and also boarded and cared for local people's dogs and other pets.

Hello all , My Nan was in the ats during the war and at the potsdam conferance( we where never told anything about her time away in the war. But was told that she entered Germany with the americans. We are trying to find out her Army recs) My Gramp was the fire section ( crew) for the dambusters. Again not a lot of info known but am tracing this. Needless to say i am very proud of them. And just wish they were here for me to tell them. Bubbles
