Hi everyone This is a great thread I have watched 'Beloved Infidel' many many times and I still cry. Deborah Kerr and Gregory Peck were the Actors in that movie. I also loved 'Shawshank Redemption' and 'Shindlers List' was also one that made me weep. I always cry at any movies about persecution of the Jews, One thing I might add if I cry at a movie I always seem to enjoy the movie. I'm just an emotional old fool. Regards Jackie

Well now, I cry very easily, so if I mention all the films that have made me cry, we'll be here all night. However, I recognise having cried at a few already mentioned on here, especially: Bambi The Way We Were - Streisand and Redford (was pregnant with our first daughter. Cried buckets and I cried all the way home on the bus....) Love Story Forest Gump Philadelphia E.T. Ghost Billy Elliot Calendar Girls (I think that's the title - where some WI members do a 'nude' calendar) ... and as I said, there must be many more. Haven't plucked up the courage to watch The Bridges of Madison yet because a friend of mine (who is usually cool, calm and collected) told me that she and her sister cried for nearly 2 days after watching that! I'm afraid I'm just an Old Softie!

Hi White Christmas The Nun Story Bambi Black Beauty Goodnight Mr Tom (The book is brilliant - bit more detail). The Railway Children One mentioned earlier in thread - Flowers in Attic - did not make me cry - did not think it was true to the books - the ending in the film - totally wrong. There were quite a few books following the story on - think that there could have been some good films made to follow. Liz
