My great aunt was called Eflina (known as Effie). I've double checked that one and it really was that name. I've tried looking at all sorts of baby name books and never seen it. I did find one other woman of that name somewhere in the US in some record or other. I wish I'd asked her or one of her close relations why she was called that. The rest of her brothers and sisters had fairly ordinary names. Sue |
