Was always fascinated by my aunty's one when I was a child but couldn't wear one myself. As has already been said, think the fake ones look so realistic now I don't think I could wear those either. Dawn

No Joy I wouldn't wear it. Firstly because of the animal cruelty issue and secondly, like you, they are just not my style - more of a jeans and boots girl meself lol xx

My OH bought my a lovely fur jacket, the Christmas that advert went up on the billboards, showing a model with dead animals dripping blood all over the place........no, I never wore it.....gave it to the cat to sleep on, then it got thrown away.....

Never - it's cruel and compeltely unnecessary! I found the comment about fake furs interesting - I know that there are many countries who make dog fur coats and it's sickening, particularly when you consider how these pelts are obtained - I won't go into details on here. I have for years campaigned for animal rights and used to be veggy - I don't need any encouragement in that direction either lol Kaye x

No Way!! I do admit to wearing one in the 70s,it was my grandmothers,I adored that coat. The truth is I never thought of it as being a living thing once. When It hit me,what it actually was,I got rid of it,I cant stand to see fur on anyone. These days there is No need to wear fur,there are very good Faux furs if you like the look,I just dont like the look of it:-))

This reminds me of a story my Mum told me. My aunty bought a fur coat from the jumble sale. ( this must have been in the 1920's ) and insisted on wearing it to Mass on the Sun. she made my Mum and her other sister march up to the front seat of the church then all the way through they were having to slap and kill the fleas that were coming off it. Mum said they were so embarrassed but Aunty thought she was the bees knees. I could just imagine them. They didn't have two pennies to rub together. Serioulsy though I wouldn't now have a fur coat as now I am wise to how they get the fur. Must admit as a kid I thought that all the animals had died naturally. Germaine x

when my nan died i was offered her coat,and my aunt would pay to make it fit,i refused.i said it wont go well wiv me baseball boots and jeans,lolx
