Linda: If a few more did it then we would live in total chaos.

deborah If a few more did it then the law would change to make the punishment fit the crime As I said hope you dont ever have to walk in there shoes Linda

Linda: I have a lot of sympathy for the young woman and I have no doubt that this will affect her in some way for the rest of her life. The two men should be punished for what they did but so should the grandmother. Can you even begin to imagine what sort of a world we would be living in if everyone decided to take the law in to their own hands?

Deborah,,,,Yes up to the point of Granny taking the law into her own hands the 2 Rapists were the only crimminals,,for abusing ,violating degrading and taking this young ladys dignity along with it,

I think the lady did good. I think if anyone harmed my grandsons I would be like minded.. but I haven't got the courage. Deborah perhaps if the law punished these scum bags, instead of giving then a slap on the wrists and telling them not to do it again people wouldn't feel the need to take the law into their own hands. Deborah Report 1 Apr 2007 19:04

Linda: I don't doubt that the granddaughter will be scared for life and what she has been through is a terrible thing. But how is this punishment for what the grandmother has done?

Roxanne

Roxanne Report 1 Apr 2007 19:03

Hi Linda:-)) You hear every day about victims of crime, and how they dont get the justice they deserve,im afraid unless the law changes and all the P.C rubbish stops there will be more people doing what this lady has done.

Roxanne

Roxanne Report 1 Apr 2007 19:03

**Linda Report 1 Apr 2007 19:02

Her Grandaughter will probably be scared for life so she will serve her sentence Linda

Kay????

Kay???? Report 1 Apr 2007 19:01

I dont doubt that that Au law will enforce some kind of punishment -but what at 81,,,?? Yes she did wrong and maybe a much younger woman would not have gone down this road.and wouldnt advocate that anyone else should take the path she did,, But when we hear of such crimes against women and children its a thought of what we would like to do to those who violate like this,,

Deborah

Deborah Report 1 Apr 2007 19:01

Are you saying that only the rapist was the ciminal?

Izzy

Izzy Report 1 Apr 2007 19:00

Roxanne, What thought have the two men(?) given the victim of the original crime, double rape, I'm sorry but they don't deserve much sympathy. Yes the Granny's actions were dramatic, but that's her Grandaughters whole future they've just jepodised for their own wanton pleasure, surely the worlds oldest trade is available in Australia if they were that despserate for sex!!!!

**Linda Report 1 Apr 2007 18:58

I 100% agree Roxanne The Law is for the criminal not the victim Linda

Roxanne

Roxanne Report 1 Apr 2007 18:55

Well,To be honest, If the law did what it was surpose to do,I wouldnt, but we live in times that seem to be all for the criminals rights and not the victims. and I for one am sick to death of it.
