Amongst your social circle, is there anyone who 'knows someone' who might be able get the informaion you need? |

Rollo, things will take their course while your patience is being tested. Perhaps the second similar case that you wrote about is worrying the Coroner who may be delving deeper in case anything is drastically wrong in the care given. |

Rollo. So very sorry for your loss and the added complication of having to deal with the Coroner too. Condolences to you and your family today. |

It’s all down to communication, isn’t it? With no one voluntarily telling Rollo what’s going on & with no suggested timescale, it’s difficult for him to plan ahead. Poor chap’s left in limbo. |

The Coroner"s secretary informs the case officer that I have called. Unfortunately they seem to be too busy to ring back. |

Take a deep breath & try to relax until Friday. It’s all out of your hands; fretting or worrying won’t make the bureaucracy work any faster. X |

Unbelievable Rollo, you just couldn't make it up could you? Take care now and try to relax until Friday as these things are out of your hand until then. Relax if you can. |

Worry about what you can alter, if it's out of your hands try to relax and keep calm. Wearing yourself out on something you can't alter is detrimental to you, your health and your family. |

What is driving me nuts is not so much the delay but the possibility of a cover up and others suffering a similar fate. I am not blind. |

Rollo, first of all my condolences to you and your family upon the sad loss of your Mother. |

One good thing Rollo is that, as well as any records you kept yourself, you expressed your concerns not just at the hospital, but at the time on here. It does give a bit of weight to your assessment of the situation that you posted it publicly, and as it was happening, should you decide to take any case against the hospital further. |

It really is unsatisfactory the poor communication, delays and errors that occur in these situations. No coroner involved but when MIL passed away 2 years ago in a small hospital 20 miles away, we could not get a death cert for a week because she died over a Bank Holiday and the doctor wouldn't be in to sign the papers till then. When 95 year old FIL died 6 months later, he had been in and out of hospital after various falls at the care home he was in (2 kinds of dementia diagnosed). Despite my OH repeatedly asking to see someone each time he visited after one admission, no-one ever seemed to be around and all a nurse told him was that his father had a chest infection. It was when OH saw the discharge notice at the home after his father was discharged that he read that his father had pneumonia and had had 2 heart attacks while he was in hospital. You would think that those events in a 95 year old man would have prompted someone to let his family know! |

My brother died very suddenly back in 1990, and we came across the "jurisdiction" problem. |
