Allan Report 1 Feb 2017 13:02

I was a Roman frog......after all, all toads lead to Rome :-P

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Feb 2017 12:48

Ahhh I'm sure that's not true........isn't it Toads for warts ? :-)

Allan

Allan Report 1 Feb 2017 12:43

I must be old fashioned, but I always thought that a spell check was used by witches and warlocks :-S

I didn't use it once and turned myself into a frog :-S

It took me ages to find a Princess who was shortsighted enough to kiss me

She developed warts! :-0 :-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Feb 2017 11:49

Your ear ?????

I too was educated...okay they tried and failed...many years ago but have lost my hair trying to teach my children when schools seem to think spelling isn't required.....dear old spell check.

Ah, Caroline, I'm of an age where we actually reached Z (zebra and zoo spring to mind) in our schooling and after over forty years in local government writing reports, I learnt many words both long and short :-)

After fourteen years in the British Army Reserve, I learnt many words which were, and still are, unprintable ;-)

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Feb 2017 11:01

I only say "allowed" as some may not be happy.....as for big words well schools don't teach.........sorry should finish that though...schools don't teach big words these days do they certainly not getting as far as the V's..... :-(

Allan

Allan Report 1 Feb 2017 10:55

"Allowed"?

I'm not sure :-S

I didn't know that I knew such big words ;-)

:-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Feb 2017 10:51

If it's a bland thread should you be "allowed" to use big words ??.....or is that too vexatious a question ?? :-D

Allan

Allan Report 1 Feb 2017 10:43

Looking at some very recent threads, I now realise why I started this one. :-| :-P

Yes, I was urinated when I started it, but at least the posts have been non-vexatious
:-D :-D :-D

:-D :-D :-D@ Barbra

JoyLouise, we don't really celebrate Australia Day. Strange but true, in June I will have spent over half my life in Oz and despite taking out Ozzy Citizenship, I still consider my self English :-S

In the 35 years we have been out here we have not been back to the UK for a visit. How boring (bland) is that!

Barbra

Barbra Report 28 Jan 2017 12:01

My late MIL made blandmange & it was awful yuck .where.s white knight ? out looking for his Tiger :-D :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 28 Jan 2017 09:44

Allan, did anyone wish you a happy Australia Day on the 26th? I hope you enjoyed the day.

Was that an Esso tiger? From this distance in time it is difficult to remember!

Why did they call blancmange, blancmange - cos my Mum used to make it pink! I never liked it though I used to eat a little bowlful because that is what we were taught to do. Hence my appetite for any food - I eat anything put in front of me. :-D :-S

Allan

Allan Report 28 Jan 2017 09:35

I'm not sure, but there's only one tiger in your tank.

How could she/he operate the controls without an opposable thumb? :-S

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 28 Jan 2017 09:18

Popping in again to ask this question.

How many tigers are used in a tiger loaf? :-D

Allan

Allan Report 28 Jan 2017 03:51
