Do you have to wear particular 'ceremonial' socks too?
....or could you wear the glittery ones :-D

I know that this is the bland thread but I just want a whinge about the lack of individuality whether it be of things animate or inanimate.

Take cars for instance. Once upon a not so distant time ago, you could tell the make of a car by its body shape and distinctive colouring. Now most models (cars, that is) have the same body shape.

Having put the word 'car's in brackets in the last sentence, I suppose the same could also be said of human models. :-(

Which brings me nicely to people; we all seem to be lacking in individuality, turning into Sir Terry Prattchett's Auditors.

Even an organisation of which I am a member enforces a strict dress code so that we all have to wear the same dress.

Not literally the same dress, of course, as it would have to be a very large dress. Also it's not one of those organisations that sanctions cross-dressing, unfortunately ;-) :-D

We do, however, have to wear dinner suits when sometimes I feel like just wearing my birthday suit. Mind you with the shape and tone of my body that could be carrying individuality too far!

Just a whinge :-\ :-\ :-\

Yes, but I am the right way up...it's (note the apostrophe) all those in the Northern Hemisphere who are hanging on by their (possessive) toes :-D :-D :-D

Caroline Report 8 Sep 2017 13:36

Well you are in Aussieland ..... :-D :-D :-P

Allan

Allan Report 8 Sep 2017 12:04

If your feet smell and your nose runs, you are built upside down :-P :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 8 Sep 2017 11:12

Fair point must be your feet then but I was trying to be polite/nice :-D

Allan

Allan Report 8 Sep 2017 04:05

My socks don't smell.....how can the , they have no nose

BOOM! BOOM!

:-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 8 Sep 2017 01:03

Lovely thought.......flys and smelly socks.....

Allan

Allan Report 8 Sep 2017 00:50

Oh I definitely need it....it's nearly the fly breeding season :-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 8 Sep 2017 00:46

I get the blame again do I okay then....so the annual bath whether you need it or not...

Allan

Allan Report 7 Sep 2017 22:04

Well, it's nearly time for my annual bath :-(

The coal is almost depleted but I won't was the bath out first as it will still look the same after the annual event :-S :-D :-D :-D

What, you may ask, brought about this piece of personal trivia?

I misread Caroline's post about missing my vocation, and thought that the word was vacation ;-)

I always have a bath before going on my holidays as it saves complaints from hotel management about the state of the sheets! :-D :-D :-D

Allan

Allan Report 7 Sep 2017 00:59

:-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 7 Sep 2017 00:21

Telling you Allan missed your vocation....

Allan

Allan Report 6 Sep 2017 22:10

Thanks, Bob.

OH is a woman after my own heart, but fortunately I've managed to avoid the knife :-D :-D

Caroline, over the years I've become an expert at recognising various toxic fungi, mainly by sorting through the mushroom she insists on serving with every meal. Strange really as she never eats any herself ;-) :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Sep 2017 18:27

She does she hasn't killed him....yet!

Caroline

Allan :-D :-D :-D

Allan

Allan Report 6 Sep 2017 00:35

It could be a bland of gold, if Rollo is correct. ;-)

On the other hand a tin lid covered with gold coloured foil would look just as impressive, and could be awarded together with a tin opener and a basic kitchen layout so that the positions of the sink and stove could be ascertained ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D

"ducks for cover"

Caroline

Caroline Report 5 Sep 2017 23:58

It better not be a bland medal....

Allan

Allan Report 5 Sep 2017 23:08

I'll instigate one!

I will think about it whilst on my early morning walk which I will shortly be undertaking :-D
