Someone reported me to the NSFCTFF organisation. :-0

(National Society for Cruelty to Fish Fingers). I can't belieeeve it!

Was it you, Allan?

On the other hand, I have happily converted a few people to battered fish fingers. :-D

Allan

Allan Report 2 Jan 2017 21:46

Yes, JoyLousie, it was me :-P

I can't stand cruelty to any object whether animate or inanimate, but in the case of fish fingers the cruelty is heightened.

Not only are they battered, but they are then consumed :-0

Anyway, what happens to the rest of the fish? :-|

:-D :-D :-D :-D

Bobtanian Report 3 Jan 2017 01:17

have you not heard of fish cakes?
or fission chips?

Allan

Allan Report 3 Jan 2017 01:38

Are they like the Lions Christmas Cakes, Bob?

How they obtain approval to kill all the lions required to make those cakes beggars belief :-S

When did chefs make the transition from mere chefs, who occasionally appeared on television or gave the odd demonstration, to ‘celebrity chefs'?

And surely if you were trying to boost business, you’d be better off with a quiet but brilliant chef and an outgoing front-of-house manager? I think!

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 27 Jan 2017 16:42

bland chefs would make blancmange!!

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 27 Jan 2017 20:51

If they were bland, how would they see to blend the ingredients?

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 27 Jan 2017 20:51

..............if they could find them.............

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 27 Jan 2017 21:50

they'd likely have a bland dog!!

Allan

Allan Report 27 Jan 2017 21:51

White eggs (but only the whites), white four, white sugar, white mixing bowl and white mixing spoon. Oh, I almost forgot, white milk!

I think that I'll call it a snow cake, but with my luck it will probably turn to sleet

I'll write the recipe on a whiteboard, using a white crayon.

All's white with the world :-D :-D

Barbra

Barbra Report 27 Jan 2017 22:59

Be Awhite on the night . :-D ;-)

Allan

Allan Report 27 Jan 2017 23:12

JoyLouise Report 28 Jan 2017 09:18

Popping in again to ask this question.

How many tigers are used in a tiger loaf? :-D

Allan

Allan Report 28 Jan 2017 09:35

I'm not sure, but there's only one tiger in your tank.

How could she/he operate the controls without an opposable thumb? :-S

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 28 Jan 2017 09:44

Allan, did anyone wish you a happy Australia Day on the 26th? I hope you enjoyed the day.

Was that an Esso tiger? From this distance in time it is difficult to remember!

Why did they call blancmange, blancmange - cos my Mum used to make it pink! I never liked it though I used to eat a little bowlful because that is what we were taught to do. Hence my appetite for any food - I eat anything put in front of me. :-D :-S

Barbra

Barbra Report 28 Jan 2017 12:01

Allan

Allan Report 28 Jan 2017 22:01

:-D :-D :-D@ Barbra

JoyLouise, we don't really celebrate Australia Day. Strange but true, in June I will have spent over half my life in Oz and despite taking out Ozzy Citizenship, I still consider my self English :-S

In the 35 years we have been out here we have not been back to the UK for a visit. How boring (bland) is that!
