When my gt grandfather married he knocked 6 years off his age, only the census and finding his birth cert proved his age was not what he said, and often people weren't sure themselves. |

This is where it gets confusing he used both his first and second name apparently so I have been told and family are convinced he was born 1864 think I am going to have to order a certificate to make sure. |
