Years ago a friend had a daughter she wanted to call Louisa her husband flatly refused saying it didn't go with their surname. The marriage didn't last long and they divorced, he remarried and had a daughter that they called ....Louisa. Clearly the new wife had more say about her daughters name than the first wife did. |

I read somewhere a while back that there is a certain 'rule' to choosing Christian or first names, it's to do with the amount of syllables in it and the amount in the surname. |
