I hate cup cakes ..................

far too sweet

some of them look absolutely disgusting

full of hot air (to make them rise)

too fluffy

very trendy .............. and hopefully a trend that will soon disappear.

A CupCakes shop opened here last year that makes cupcakes for ......................... DOGS :-0 :-0 :-0

I used to like fairy cakes and butterfly cakes

But if you think your cupcakes are too sweet and sickly ......... you should taste the ones over here. Everything is usually much sweeter over here :-P

:-S :-S :-S

Really confused now, I thought:

Fairy Cakes = posh buns with icing
Butterfly cakes = buns that rise, top cut & stuck into a blob of butter icing
Cup cakes = buns that do not rise, topped with fondant icing to fill up the case
Muffins = big un- iced buns

To me Cup cakes buns with piped butter cream on ( yes I can eat one ) and fairy cakes are buns with a bit cut out of the middle , then you put on a blob of butter cream with the bit you had cut out you cut in half and placed back to back on the cream to make fairy's wings thats a fairy cake :-D

Errol

On reflection

It depends on the cupcake in question :-D

GinN

GinN Report 11 Jul 2013 15:15

Think I can answer that one - Queen cakes are fairy cakes that contain raisins (or some other sort of dried fruit)! ;-)

Andysmum

Andysmum Report 11 Jul 2013 15:12

If we are talking about Fairy Cakes becoming Cup Cakes, can anyone tell me when Queen Cakes became Fairy Cakes?

Am I the only one who takes off all the icing and other rubbish and just eats the cake? I do like marzipan, though!

Personally ...

I think is cruel to

Beat a cupcake with a cup of anything - especially last thing at night.....

:-D

eRRolSheep Report 11 Jul 2013 14:45

You can't beat a cup cake with a nice cup of cocoa last thing at night.
