it's true ........

........ only Phil seems to know how to reinstate a thread ................

and even he cannot always do it.

I had one deleted "by accident" a couple of years ago, but Phil couldn't bring that one back.

What a crazy way to run things.

If a GR staff member can "remove" a thread, it should be put into a "holding file" until things are sorted.

Only one person can do certain things?

Job security or ridiculous?

LadyScozz

i think it realy comes down to the fact that there are in fact so few people who work at GR that there are few people to cover

Phil is a developer

others are Support, Abuse, IT etc

I don't know how many people are in each "department", and I'm sure that Phil is not the only "developer"

but at one point there were less than 12 people working at GR

certainly, I can guarantee that any emails I send will be answered by one of 5 people ............... and those names have been around for quite a few years.

I had one deleted "by accident" a couple of month's ago, but thay couldn't bring that one back. That was because the same person reported it.

You would think with the money that is made from members on here that they could get a few more staff to cover the problems that GR keep getting.

Porkie_Pie Report 27 Jun 2013 15:43

Just read my Email from GR ref my OP being RR'd and it says,

Dear Roy,

I reinstated the thread. We don't particularly like posts/threads which are discussing RR's as they usually cause conflict but I couldn't see anything which was abusive on this post of yours.

So am I to assume from that that my OP was RR'd because it was discussing RR's?

Whats your thoughts

Roy

AnnCardiff
