OMG you have to lol...... :-D :-D :-D ..... it is so obvious who has rr'd the post.

Thanks kind souls for the pm's - wondered what happened seeing my email box flash up.

The reason the info was posted on this board as well as General chat is because so many members on Genealogy chat and visa versa don't bother with some of the other boards.

They like to chat with those they know.

General chat is a great forum to relax and have fun.
Some people on Geneaolgy should give it a go.

Elaine I can see you are so furious you hit the button twice. If your last has come out as a doulble post when you look at it just delete one.

Anybody who is annoyed about any post that is reported/rr'd can complain to GR via normal email [email protected]

I done it so many times. They do listen at times

;-) ;-)

Why was the OP reported for review. I take it someone is being petty.

EH??? Just gone back to beginning, only to find post is under review!
Why?
I am sure I'm not the only one who goes straight to their threads...I would have known nothing about changes on site,or what was now available,if it wasn't for this posting!

Thanks to Renes :-) I hadn't noticed that advanced search bit, the colour's not the best for my eyes, I prefer black on white.

This thread was posted just to help.
Some unneccessary unkind 'why's' - digs which I choose not to answer.
Not everybody is skilled at looking for records and even the know-it-all's need help at times.

As to the new search facility - I've not tried it much. Found myself with the 2 birth records and other close family just by seaching the name and year of birth. Then I tried the mother's name. Again added place of birth.
This didn't work.

I usually keep my searches simple - prefering to scroll down and check the most obvious records first. Doesn't always produce results but it is my way.

I also use the search all facility because it throws up some most unlikely results. Just found a WW1 death I never expected

Would be interesting to hear from others how they are finding the new search

:-D :-D

I think the OP is saying that she put a thread on General but sent a message to the GR team asking them to change the thread over to Genealogy.

I can't get Penguin books but no worries we have the real fair dinkum penguins here.

But we don't let them drink wine...they have enough trouble standing up as it is.

Thank you StoneWall ...

Sounds a bit like the time warp to me...

It's just a jump to the left.

And then a step to the right.

Not to sure about the pelvic thrust bit... I am liable to wobble all over my computer and crash.
