The thread with same "header" from Genealogy Chat has now been merged into this one.

I'm afraid I'm capable of deciding on my own where I want to post :-|

Been doing it for the past 10 years ......

I did not intend to post on here ..................... but did so now because I was sorry to see the RR.

The thread was obviously serving a purpose for some people, although it did seem superfluous to me.

I do not see who is the "obvious person" who RR'd the OP

I will state that it was not me!

I was fast asleep in bed when the RR apparently happened (seemingly around noon UK time).

It is taking GR a long time to respond, and replace the OP.

Kense Report 11 Jun 2013 16:06

As Kay???? has pointed out the reporter may be using several email accounts as free members. So publishing the names would not tell you anything and they can't post to tell you who it is.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 11 Jun 2013 15:55

If one changed "so many" and replaced with "some" so that the phrase read ..........

"some" posters do not post on all boards, "most" do

then that would be much closer to the true state of affairs.

I think every person who has posted on this thread has at some point over the last couple of years helped or posted on a thread other than General Chat.

More reason for the RR'ers to come clean or be named automatically.

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 11 Jun 2013 15:13

Well I presume the obvious person is me because I mentioned it was a duplicate.

BUT I did not do it.

Nana Sue

I don't know why or who rr'd your OP.

This quote was taken from your post of 11.32 today
"Not everybody is skilled at looking for records and even the know-it-all's need help at times".
So why haven't you answered the questions on your threads on marriage banns and baptism collections?

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 11 Jun 2013 14:08

Oh dear NanaSue does not like being called NS

Kense

Kense Report 11 Jun 2013 14:05

Yes Kay that seems quite probable.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 11 Jun 2013 13:59

Common sense tells me that someone is intent on keeping this vindictive fued on NS from some members on a high heat.

a few emails addresses can cause disaster and untrue speculaton and assumptions plus a ring side seat watching it all unfold.!

It is really shameful that this thread has been reported.

It wasn't until I tried the search that I realised there was information on this site that might be of use to me.

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 11 Jun 2013 13:55

Probably done by the person that does not like duplicate threads whether by accident or not.

How ridiculous to report this thread. It is discussing something relevant to the site.

Someone really needs to get a life

RamblingRose .....I wrote so many which doesn't even imply all members. I know some do post on both boards - I do for one.

I can't see who the obvious person is who rr'd it :-S

Persephone Report 11 Jun 2013 13:04

Always seems such a waste of time to me to RR a post especially an opening one which is the relevant post...

Even if a person does not agree with it if it is non-contentious it shall return.

And as I have said before and will say again if I ever have cause to RR a post the person who I have reported will know I have done so and why.

I like things out in the open .. though I will praise on here loudly and chastise by pm quietly.

NanaSue I disagree with your comment that members on General do not bother with the other boards, a lot of us do, AND chat with people they know on those boards also. For eg out of the few people who have posted on this thread at least three have been helping on those boards for years.

call me pedantic but I hate generalisations!
