eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 25 May 2013 23:35

I wouldn't restore it back at this stage - that is not the get out of jail card that everyone seems to believe it to be.
If you can wait until tomorrow, I have a couple of options that I can talk you through.

Hi Nolls from Harrogate.

A few questions for you:

What is the make and model number of your laptop?
How old is it?
Which operating system are you running? (ie XP, Vista etc)
Does the problem occur all the time - in other words is it just when using Internet Explorer , or is it also when using things like Word etc?

Hi Errol
It is a Samsung NP-RV510-A05UK - is almost 2yr old - Think it is XP - and yes it is doing the same on Word.

Thanks for that - can you check which operating system for me please?

Right click on "My Computer" (either on the desktop or on the Start menu) and select "Properties". This should tell you which version of Windows you are using (you may need to click on the General tab depending on which version you have).

HA! Not sure what you mean but here goes:
Windows 7 Home Premium
3.3 Windows Experience Index ..
Processor Pentium (R) Dual - Core CPU

Any Good??

Errol I don't want you wasting your time doing this it's much appreciated .but feel free to stop

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 26 May 2013 20:00

I don't mind in the slightest.
That's the information I was after - you are not running XP, you are running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Leave it with me a mo

Incidentally, check that you are not catching your touchpad with the side of your hand or your thumb when you are typing - easily done.
