Hello all

It is with deep sadness that I have been asked by Cynthia to inform you all that her husband passed away peacefully this morning with Cynthia and their son beside him.

Cynthia is clearly drained emotionally, spiritually and physically but aims to return to posting when she feels very much stronger.

Rest eternal grant unto him O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon him. May he rest in peace and rise again in glory. Amen.

Hello all

I hope that Storm Dennis isn't causing too many problems for anyone. Stay save folks.

Rose, that was an interesting poem and I don't think Cynthia will mind. It's good to have everyone's posts.

I have lighted candles in church this morning, hoping to lighten the darkness for all who are struggling today.

"Come unto me, all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11 v 28.KJ Bible)

Thinking of Cynthia and all her family right now. XX

"Nod

Softly along the road of evening,
In a twilight dim with rose,
Wrinkled with age, and drenched with dew
Old Nod, the shepherd, goes.

His drowsy flock streams on before him,
Their fleeces charged with gold,
To where the sun's last beam leans low
On Nod the shepherd's fold.

The hedge is quick and green with briar,
From their sand the conies creep;
And all the birds that fly in heaven
Flock singing home to sleep.

His lambs outnumber a noon's roses,
Yet, when night's shadows fall,
His blind old sheep-dog, Slumber-soon,
Misses not one of all.

His are the quiet steeps of dreamland,
The waters of no-more-pain,
His ram's bell rings 'neath an arch of stars,
"Rest, rest, and rest again."

Hoping Cynthia will not mind that this is not a religious offering as such. <3

Hello all

I am so very sorry to read this.

"I will go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also."
(John 14 v 3 of the King James Bible).

Sending a gentle hug to Cynthia right now.
